Thank you very much for your first hand commentary.
I have some difficulties to imagine what yòu say about BP`s role. BP has hired some sort of private army ( Wackenhut ? ) controlling the beaches and the government of the biggest power on earth has given  legislative rights  to BP and is doing nothing except calming down  the people ?

Halliburton News 04/12/2010Haliburton buys oil firefighters  Boots & Coots.  http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/investing/halliburton-snaps-up-boots-and-coots/19435689/

Unfortunately there isn't a lot more I can tell you due mostly to the fact that BP is in complete control of the situation.  I suppose that in itself tells you something.  BP has what amounts to a private army keeping out the locals, the journalists, and other investigators.  Access and information are under tight control, and it is not the United States government doing the controling.

We know of many sick local fisherman who were hired by BP to help with clean up after they lost their livlihood, and we fear that many will suffer much more than these current short term effects.  One fisherman I know said his Doctor asked him how many years had he been smoking after his tests and x-rays came back.  He honestly replied, "Doc, I don't smoke."  The Doctor said it looked like he had been smoking two packs a day for the last 30 years. It is not yet known if the men are getting sick from the dispersant or chemicals from the oil and gas gusher, but it is likely a combination.

This disaster is not only putting thousands of fisherman and other gulf workers out of work, but is wreaking economic havoc on the important tourism industries of this region, including the beautiful beaches of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Even here in New Orleans there has been a tremendous drop in summer tourism even though we are far inland up the river.  Everyone is horrified at the prospect of a hurricane in the gulf and the unknowable (and likely abhorrent) ramifications for everyone living anywhere near the coast.

There is much talk down here of the company called Haliburton.  All of the media focuses on BP and says nothing of the fact that Haliburton was contracted to build the concrete casing around the well just a couple of weeks before this happened.  I happen to know two engineers who work on rigs and the like, and both think that it is very likely this concrete casing was done incorrectly and led to the disaster.  They are not sure of this, but both say they think that it is probable and are baffled as to why the media only talks about BP.

That is about all I can think of at the moment.  Thank you for your interest and your concerns.

Hi Vermicules,
you live down there ?

Would you do us a favour and tell us  something about the things happening around where you are living ? News,  media news, personal impressions, rumours etc.

First time in human history there is a technical device, the net, which makes it possible to shift immense quantities of useful informations around the world. Very cheap and in zerotime. But tit does not work as it could and as it should . Unfortunately the same mechanisms that control the media seem to control the net. Otherwise two things would happen: We would get the facts we need to make our own opinion about the gulf event.  We do not get facts.
Second. The propaganda liars , sorry that`s what they are LIARS, would not have a chance.

Following the disaster for two months now. This is not a single conspiracy. These are many conspiracies.

Methane hydrates.

Methane hydrates are avaiable in significant quantities on planet earth. Regard it as concentrated frozen methane under the sea floor at the edges of the continental shelfs and in permafrost grounds. Since  it stays there , it is not dangerous. Coming to the surface , brought into the gaseous phase it may be used as an energy source ( controlled burning), but a spontaneous eruption of methane into the atmosphere ignited by a spark, thats what kills  100 miners in China in one moment. for example.

Here's a brief but frightening article about the proposed use of a nuke and the possible release of deadly levels of methane.  And I live down here.  This isn't a disaster, it's a crisis.

Depends what you mean as "OK". I do not see how this can ever be "OK" when there are sea creatures being killed in their hundreds (official figures) and more likely in their 10's of thousands (my suspicions). If there was oil spilling out of the seabed every day, then there would be more evidence of it. Yes, I have seen pieces of what is sometimes referred to as 'tar' which may be natural oil, but in absolutely nothing like the quantities we are seeing in this disaster.

Also I need some references to believe what you say - Although I would like to believe it, I cant without some references to someone in-the-know and some authoratative papers.

More oil seeps into the ocean
naturally from the ocean floor in one day, than any and all human
caused oil spill combined in the history of this planet.

Personally, I think that they will use a nuke to try to close up the huge hole they have created and then it will be curtains for those areas because they do not know what they are doing. Yes, the Russians have used nukes before on land but never under the sea and Russia has large areas of land where they can dump radioactivity and leave it for god-knows-how-many-years to decay until it is relatively safe. The chernobyl site is still radioactive after all this time and will be for years to come. This is not an option for a populated area such as the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and radioactively polluting the sea if things go wrong will F*** us up completely and forever. Need I say more?

I'll probably take some serious heat for what I am about to
say. But before I say anything, I will say what happened is
infact a tragedy. I am not going to pretend that this is not
really a big deal and that no-one or no animal is not affected.

But the fact is, and I mean this in a manner to offer hope,
and put the realities in perspective. More oil seeps into the ocean
naturally from the ocean floor in one day, than any and all human
caused oil spill combined in the history of this planet.

Oil IS a natural substance, and is a part of our worlds oceans
with or without us humans. I am not trying to lessen what
has happened, just, in my own weird way, believe that
this will pass.

The earth is a very resilient planet, it has taken disasters
far more devestating than the BP Oil spill, and come back
shining...EGBOK.

Everythings

June 13, 2010

"I used to cover the energy business (oil, gas and alternative) here in Texas, and the few experts in the oil field -- including geologists, chemists, etc. -- able or willing to even speak of this BP event told me early on that it is likely the entire reserve will bleed out. Unfortunately none of them could say with any certainty just how much oil is in the reserve in question because, for one thing, the oil industry and secrecy have always been synonymous. According to BP data from about five years ago, there are four separate reservoirs containing a total of 2.5 billion barrels (barrels not gallons). One of the reservoirs has 1.5 billion barrels. I saw an earlier post here quoting an Anadarko Petroleum report which set the total amount at 2.3 billion barrels. One New York Times article put it at 2 billion barrels.

If the BP data correctly or honestly identified four separate reservoirs then a bleed-out might gush less than 2 to 2.5 billion barrels unless the walls -- as it were -- fracture or partially collapse. I am hearing the same dark rumors which suggest fracturing and a complete bleed-out are already underway. Rumors also suggest a massive collapse of the Gulf floor itself is in the making. They are just rumors but it is time for geologists or related experts to end their deafening silence and speak to these possibilities.

All oilmen lie about everything. The stories one hears about the extent to which they will protect themselves are all understatements. BP employees are already taking The Fifth before grand juries, and attorneys are laying a path for company executives to make a run for it."

Dear Element 115,

I hope you are stable ( insider joke between  two elements ).  As you do,  I believe in selfhealing processes , but many species have been wiped out and many cultures have disappeared from earth. Wonder how many of these events had been some kind of selfprotecting processes of our planet.  Further I believe in the adaption capabilities of life in general, so life may survive, but which kind of live and under which  conditions ?
There is a natural oil flow diffusing to the surface, that `s right, but how about local concentration ?
No problem to drink four  liters of water over a day, no problem to drink 120 liters a month and 1440 liters of water a year. Try to drink it in a day and you`ll have a problem. How much oil the gulf has to drink in a minute ?
Honestly, I do not know that.
But I am shure somebody will try to make some big profit on that.  So if this world, if our  human world, will be destroyed one day, it is our moral bancrupty which will make it possible.  Millions of people work directely and indirectely for the Wallstreet machine.  It is hard to imagine something more unnatural, something more useless than this system. It steals our natural heritage from us , it makes us think small , it makes us wish junk and it reduces our dreams to"need a new car". Our heads are hanging down, instead of looking up into this marvellous universe.   No, we are not ready to meet those, that have left behind this silly phase. To them we are  something in the midst between children and lunatics.
My subjective opinion.

The bomb solution.

They did it on land, not in the ocean and they had a 50: 50 chance it would work.
In the gulf there is more than 1 km of water and a partly collapsed  drillhole , going approx. 5 km deep and there is ( maybe ) a fractured seafloor.

But we do not know anything about the real situation. We only get some propaganda.

Best case: If the drillhole is intact and the pressure constant, and the flow not too high, it would still be difficult to drill to  the right point ( from aside) , where  to deposit the bomb. If it would have worked  and would  stopp the flow, some radioactivity would be left with some consequences.

Worst case: The bomb  shatters the seafloor into pieces and if there really is some sort of hot batholithe down under, seawater would intrude into the stratas. The steampressure could cause an explosion followed by a tsunami.

Comment from Lotte

TV news in Holland told that there have been 4 or 5 of these oil spills in the past, in the USSR. Russia put a nuclear bomb at the place, the earth shaked and it was closed. I don't know what is worse, the oil or the bomb...

BP Oil spill day 56-57 New Orleans to Pensacola James Fox Interviews

James Fox = Out of the Blue.           Alice in Plunderland, the world upside down or "They do nothing."    Watch how the big chief is guarded in his home country and listen to his speech ( from min. 5 to the end).

Who needs to be protected from whom ?

Media Black out and propaganda.

Beach cleaning is useless since the oil is still floating. Priority has to be closing the spill.

Information sources in the net say, that there are no real efforts underway to clean the beaches.

Is the gusher still active ? Do not know. Are they doing anything and if so, what are they doing to close the spill ( actually the gusher ) ? Do not know and cannot find informations in the net.

Info: The rig went down near the drillhole. Where is it ? The drillhole in BPs propagando video is not, again, is not the drill hole, that exploded.

Department of Commerce ....

The propaganda surpasses a lot of what  we`ve heard before. As usual some of our (?) species have already begone to make profit on the thing. Analyze how the chief is talking. How he is talking.  Pronunciation, key words, the pauses, just incredible he comes away with that ...

'Gulf Oil Spill June 14th'

By James Wray Jun 15, 2010, 13:22 GMT

Fresh Louisiana oysters are bagged and heading to the dock in Dularge, Louisiana as some shrimp and oyster beds remain open West of the Mississippi and South of Houma in DuLarge, Louisiana, USA, on 14 June 2010. Most of the fishing industry is shut down due to exposure to oil from the BP oil spill and the environmental disaster it has created in the Gulf of Mexico.

Obama: Gulf seafood is safe to eat

In tour of Gulf coast, president strikes optimistic tone

updated 8:36 p.m. ET June 14, 2010

THEODORE, Ala. - In a newly optimistic tone, President Barack Obama promised Monday that "things are going to return to normal" along the stricken Gulf Coast and the region's fouled waters will be in even better shape than before the catastrophic BP oil spill.

He declared Gulf seafood safe to eat and said his administration is redoubling inspections and monitoring to make sure it stays that way. And his White House said Monday it had wrested apparent agreement from BP

Do we accept the deception ? Something about us.

First resumée.

Let`s see what we have already.

No maps showing the area where fishing is prohibited now, no maps showing the distribution of the plumes, no images of dieing animals, no nothing. Instead just two drawings from osd`s sketch book, dated january 2010. Do not want to convince anybody.

 Scan10060.jpg

My dear citizens! Everything will be ok!

CNN, ABC, CBS......You are the champions!

Today we got the 14. of june 2010. Oil is streaming into the Golf of Mexico since 20. April 2010 after an offshore drilling platform was destroyed by a huge explosion. It seems that BP´s efforts to stop the flow have increased the problem meanwhile. The term problem is an  understatement, as huge as the problem is itsself.

The american governement seems paralyzed, whilst medias , foreign governements and organisations like Greenpeace ignore the significance of the problem and private security teams keep the public away from the beaches. The local medias in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida etc. are paralyzed too, the governors are talking wischi-waschi to the public and people in these states are listening patiently , still sleeping, whilst much of their existence is already destroyed. Their live will change forever.

The coastguard guys talk about some sort of cleaning processes, ( Thanks to CBS, showing us six slowly moving figures shovelling a beach.!) whilst the oil is gushing and gushing. Impossible to clean . If the gushing would stopp tomorrow, it will not, but if it would stop tomorrow, it would already be too late. And thats the truth, coastguardfolks. You know that. The king is naked.

We have a chance now to learn a lot about the tactics of the beasts and about our own nature. Why do they do it? Yes, they can! Cause  people allow them to act like beasts. I am in the geology-mineralbusiness. Hearing somebody talking about stratas and pressures means something to me. I understand a little bit of what they are talking about.

Let`s see, what we have. Let´s call it Osd ´s private opinion.

They just drilled too deep. This was not a "normal" methane explosion, caused by a failfunction of the methane detectors, allowing an undetected accumulation of gases, followed by an explosion. In fact they drilled into deposits, where the pressure is that high, that nothing could have saved the platform. The moment they hit the "chamber" they were lost. The "methane" explosion was some sort of secondary effect.

By the way, USGS ( United States Geological Survey), where are you now and where do you have been the whole time and what role did you play in this drama ? With whom have you been in bed ? Please inform the people!

This high pressure-explosion caused a fracturing of the pipe and a fracturing of the seafloor. 48 hours after the catastrophy had started, BP and a lot of people in governement agencies had all the datas needed to analyse the situation. Immediately they started a propaganda operation against the people. The pressure determines the quantity of oil going into the ocean. If you have the diameter of the crater ( A crater, not a whole. There is nothing left of the drill rods on the seaground. ) and the correct pressure schoolboys would have started to take their slide rule. Holding back the relevant datas, it was possible for them to keep the people calm and to reduce the real amount of oil going into the gulf in their press releases till, - till it arrived at the shorelines. I do not know, what the socalled livestream showed, but it was definitely not the area of the desaster. After a few days without getting a strong reaction from the public they replaced the fake site by an endless film, always repeating the same sequency. Funny, isn`t it ?

To keep the amount reaching the shores, (still lying) as small as possible they used millions of gallons of Corexit, exactly knowing, that this would cause another problem: Killing everything in the way! They did this just to get some days. Just to get some days. Can you imagine the dimension of the beasts ? I cannot.

The whales and dolphins, the big fishes and the turtles and who knows what else are dying in the deep water, never reaching the surface , never reaching the beaches. This is hidden too. The gulf of Mexico is a massgrave and the massmurders are posing in front of the cameras. Funny isn`t it ?

14. of june 2010 the visible oil has covered an area nearly as big as Italy.

Oil is not a homogenous substance, it is a mixture, therefore we need cleaning processes and we need refinerys to separate the different substances. Oil is accompagnied by gases. If the ( gas-) pressure is high and the oil comes to the surface spread over a wide area, naturally there is a lot of gases coming up with it . Some of the gases are highly toxic. On their way up to the surface parts interact with the seawater, resulting in acidic and toxic solutions, others reach the atmosphere.

The immense pressure caused a collapsing of the drill whole, but the pressure still worked in the drillchanel, slowly following and widening fractures, seeking the weakest points and finally breaking through the seafloor miles away from the original drill.

How many platforms are taking oil since when out of the Gulf ? 100 ? 500 ? 1000 ? Since 10 years ? 50 years ? 100 years ?

My dear USGS, my dear director! Tomorrow a close friend will visit you at your home 9 o`clock in the morning with his excavator, taking some ground from under the base of your house. There is no danger, I hear you say. "There is no danger." Ok, ok, I believe you.

There isn`t any danger for your home, director. Hear me ? "There is no danger for your home." Believe me.
