good pic and good find.

I do not know what these objects are but I find it extremely hard to believe they are ancient lava flows as purported by NASA and JPL.

Cannot quite make out what that is.

Examining the full image though, I do see some kind of steam maybe or water spray in the "sand dune" at centre left. There is definitely something going on there which is hidden by a 'sand dune" coloured smudge.

 

Converting this to black and white and stretching it makes the area below the mountains (centre and slightly right) look as if there is a city or some other civilisation area there. Also maybe on the extreme left on the plain,

Almost looks like a old bearded man, like a gnome. Lighting levels slightly adjusted.
