Yes, you are correct the text is very feint and there is little differentce between that and the background. If it is a problem for others, change the CSS for the login to make it more distinct. However, now that I know what is happening, of course I can live with it if no-one else is having the same problem. Thanks for the info.
OK, thanks. I can investigate a little more. I do have problems with another site but that is across browsers and OSs. I will try logging into AA from Win XP and other browsers on that to see if it is just a unix/linux thing. Obviously I can login like I am now, just that it does not show my username/pasword, but I will now see if it is just feint too.
That is really strange Q, I am not having any problems with the login and no one else has reported problems so far, if it continues or any other members are having problems then let me know ASAP .... It is true that a large part of the globe are blocked from social media sites (Turkey has just blocked Twitter).

I have to say that I am having problems with the new login screen. When I type my username and password, nothing is echoed on the screen. Weird I know, but true.
However, the characters I type are still registering as if they were showing. This has happened more than once on different days. Although this may be my browsers problem, it is a bog-standard browser and operating system (Debian Squeeze/Iceweasel) which is similar to Firefox with some security fixes by Debian as I understand it. I found this by typing my username and pressing return and getting the message username/password incorrect.
The other thing is that Facebook logins are great for half the world, but the other half is blocked from social media sites by their governments! We all have restrictions placed on us by our governments for what is 'good for us' it seems.
