Some more from this pic.

Dont know what the metallic "bird" like structure could be but the ornate lizard carving is very noticeable.

The dune in this pic is not real. I know some of us have probably deduced this already but I will provide evidence to back this up

This is my highlight of most of the anoms found to date, there are more.

PIA17766m.jpg

This is a 3 layer overlay of the dune itself, a bit overkill but I wanted to see what they were hiding. It appears that the line of the top of the dune follows a structure that you can barely see even with the overlays.

PIA17766 dune2.jpg

This is only a 1 layer overlay but enough to see some slight detail of surface objects continuing into the "dune".

PIA17766-dune4.jpg

This is another section showing the main structure of whatever is being obscured. Parts are visible under the edge of the "dune".

Wow, scrap heap is such a good way to put it.  Almost looks like something blew up.  Nice finds Mac.

This pic was taken on the approach to Dingo Gap.

A virtual scrap heap, I have highlighted some of the more outstanding anomalies but there are many more.

Some type of bio coming out of the "rocks" on the left side. Also a trail leading up to them.

The link is to a post I made that has quite a few pictorial examples to illustrate my point.

As with any conceptual medium words are inadequate but I'll try:

There are rocks at the top of the hill that are not a part of the substructure beneath them. They have been shaped and are of uniform thickness. They have broken and tumbled because the larger pieces are directly below and smaller pieces have travelled further. Broken metallic structures are also scattered among them. These have also scattered in the same pattern. Some are impossible for "nature" even Martian nature to have shaped. At the bottom in the very extreme left of the paler coloured ground is a curved pattern of sharp edges protruding from the ground, and at the near end of these is a very interesting "rock". On the original image there are two of these, but they have kept the best one. The original composite image is PIA17944.jpg, they have cut this for the photojournal picture I used.

In the near bottom foreground are some close ups of items arranged by Curiosity.

Sapa, Could you possibly indicate what you are seeing as being ruins? Thanks in advance.

There's some ruins at the top of the hill. I found them by following the pointing things used by Curiosity's navigators.

All sorts of stone, metal etc is scattered downhill. As a graduate in archaeology, if I was able to (and to get home) I'd be there now for sure

I made a video with music by my son (permission granted)

I posted it on youtube and my (non-profit) blog http://www.afterzen.co.uk/wanderings/mars-curiosity-rover-ruins-at-the-gate-of-dingo-gap/

This is the sharpened and colour filtered image half size, which I used to see beneath the sandy wash of colour.
