Hi Papa D and hi Xenon. Thanks for your observations. Your absolutely right of course it could be pixelation, I'm only too aware. Despite my best attempts to clear the objects up I can't do better without creating something it isn't. I just use PowerPoint contrast controls and that is it. What's interesting though ......when I look back at images I've posted here on AA sometime ago and look at the new versions on the LROC Quick-map site I must admit that I expect to find a rock pure and simple. However 90% of the time that just doesn't happen. Instead what I see is a blurred version of the anomaly as I have posted it. (I'll try to show some examples) Do you think the guys at NASA look at this site? Are we doing their job for them? I do wonder sometimes!
nice find.....very strange shape for a rock...it seems a section of something of artificial...anyway i've never seen a rock like that on Mars' images...it's weird..
Hi Papa, it is good to see you posting again, but Tycho Crater is a lunar crater and I am sure this is just a typo error by you.
TG, the left hand anomaly is really strange with its sculptured like wall more so with the saucer shape shadow at its base, not sure what to make of the right hand anomaly though and part of me thinks it could be pixilation, great find all the same

Every now and then I look further afield from Tycho Crater to look at other craters which in the past have attracted attention for one reason or another. Tsiolkovskiy crater is one such location. In the following slide are two adjacent objects which both seem very strange to me. It may be an optical illusion but the left had object appears to be an elongated and possibly hollow 'U' shaped structure. The right hand object whereas doesn't seem to be solid at all. In fact it appears to be a platform with a roof possibly supported on the right hand side by framework. Hopefully further images become available which either back this claim or prove they are nothing but rocks. They are both strange in any event. Observations welcome.
