Iceman hope ur kidding ;)... I was talking about MARS! rovers images. Your images again have shown green tinge (artificial lighting). Calibration is easy on earth for reasons I shouldnt hane to explain. Your kinda going round in circles. i can understand if u dont understand whats happening. The rovers were calibrated here on earth! The calibration doisc is for ambient light on Mars and the correction is made. theres no problem here with ur images. Color is a partially subjective affair. Its very complicated but it works upto a point. What ur pointing out isnt a problem.

TW you do make sense, but surely even if a colour meter was used, the readings would become void because of the tampering?

Thats a strong point. I think we forget that all Curiositys images.. actually all rovers so far, are gray-scale by default.

Color is added as a later process. problems start when grayscale is corrected to Martian color temp and then flipped back. Color (sometimes) hinders subtle detail, Also atmospheric haze. If i were a nasa tampering tech head I would tamper during Grayscale initial image. Try it in color and it shows up as over contrasty images. Also tamperings or detail restriction can simply be a false shadow or a line breaking up a formations outline. Everytime I've seen something remptely interesting the res drops to around 255 square. Bleaching contrasts and the lack of explanation that infrared filters are being applied screw everyone over. I dont think its always deliberate. MSLs 17 or so cameras have different functions, depth of field, focal points etc. theres quite of misunderstanding among us all at what these cameras can do and their associated filter systems generate,

The whole image looks like it has has been cropped and manipulated (including fish eye effect), but the image still has a story to tell, not least the strange female with a third eye who should of fallen over at such an angle (even with the fish eye effect), also I guess this is an earlier prototype notice the rust next to the right hand wheel, but I am still not sure why there is so much reddish soil underneath the rover (unless that too is rust)?

theres a reason it cant be replicated on white parts of Curiosity on Mars. Notice the tint is there too ;) .. even on your insert with Mars....
GREEN= Flourencent lighting... I was a pro Photographer years ago...

Filter mixings and ambient and incidental lighting readings are? Do you see my point. Without a color meter Judging color dif by eye can be done up to a small point but then u need a color analyzer. Are there any other anomalies to strengthen ur case?
