Looking for a thread to post the following slide - one that ends in (not serious) is probably as good a place as any. While scanning the moons surface I have collected a number of interesting and comical faces so I thought I would put them together on this slide. Most are from altitude. Hopefully the detail can be seen!! Again not serious just a light hearted look at what can be found with a little imagination.
gmantoo; you may have been joking, but mabee you are on to something too. The attached is annotated and should give an idea of what may indeed be ' down there ', or , alternately, ' down under ' ( the debris ). I see my friend Polluks has also found a legionnaire who apparently made a wrong turn on the way to the forum? Praise the Rings of Saturn ... at least we can still see what we want .. so there! -Morbius
I do not believe what I see and since there have been other posts 'seeing' all kinds of weird and wonderful things, I post this to see if you can find the aliens face - complete with eyes, nose, ear (right ear). See the JAXA image here
Bear in mind the scale of this photo shown by the 1 metre mark at the bottom right. Many of you will see what I mean, but in this photo (you have to make it darker) I see doughnuts and other small structures so thats how we all see things differently.
If you divide the photo into 3 x 3 then the 'face' is at the top left of the bottom right square. If you need helpful pointers to this aliens face, I will post them. haha
Not quite sure why I posted this in the Lunar/ISS anomalies forum. It is from an image taken by the Hayabusa spacecraft.
The Hayabusa spacecraft, which was launched in May 2003, arrived at Asteroid Itokawa in September 2005, and it made observations of Itokawa and tried touch down in about three months.
