The program has proved a nightmare as the information is in bits and pieces all over the place. In particular, the lunar orbiter support data is a bag of worms and incomplete (to say the least). I have cobbled together something, but it is not as good as I wanted and only has Lunar Orbiter stuff in the database so far. I will post a link when I am ready for you guys to test it.

I dont know if this is possible, but I suspect that we may be able to correlate the Clementine images with the Lunar orbiter images with the Apollo images.

This would give us a search facility to show the same areas from the different missions where they existed in more than one image. I already have a database of Lunar orbiter latitutdes and longitudes and I have today figured out that the Clementine PDS info is in the file and is easily read. The Apollo data is also in that file(I think), so all it needs is a database to link them all together - somehow.

What I dont know, is if there is sufficient interest or if there is something like this already which pulls out all the different images for the same area. In theory we should be able to type in a filename and pull up all the other information that goes with it.

I am not sure it is worth adding in the Ranger photos as they are old, not terribly good and may not add anything to our investigations.

I think I will have to try it on one Apollo file and see how easy it is.

Does anyone have any particular favourite? If not, then I will just pick one.

As always, add any thoughts you have to this thread.
