In some circles the process is referred to as 'The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul'. I think Douglas Adams even wrote a book (rather funny one) about it.

Its a process, its hard..BUT..in the end there is a sense of 'inner peace' as Timewarp so accurately puts it.

It is all down to beliefs unfortunately and no-one knows for sure. Bit like religion, but I wont go there.
People are waking up all the time, and so it is not particularly unusual, but still life changing all the same I suppose. I have posted my theory, so I wont bore you with that again. smile.gif

Chandre, I believe you have achieved a stage of enlightnment.

I experienced this about ten years ago and can only describe it as a form of 'inner peace' which usually follows a prolonged period of deep depression.

What is all the hype about 2012?

Is it a time when there will be a universal awakening? Yes, it would appear to be the end of the Mayan calender but that will follow with another term.

Many people seem to think that a heavenly body will encroach upon our solar system and wreak havoc.

Are the elite of this world planning something for 2012?

So many questions, but hardly any answers.

Sanmyaku, I've moved this to the General Discussions thread and out of the 'evidence' threads.

I understand exactly what you are saying. There is a sense of anticipation and expectation linked to 2012 (although many say that may not be the correct year). The Mayans calendar ends then and that seems to be of some significance heralding some sort of change or shift in consciousness.

There has been a lot of fear-linked movies, documentaries, books and articles to do with 2012, but like you I have no sense of fear...rather one of acceptance in some strange kind of way.

There was a good documentary aired on the History Channel a while ago linking about five different philosophies to the year 2012 including some ancient 'cross' symbol somewhere in Europe. I cannot remember what it was called so if anyone else knows please post so we can get a link to it.

I'M HAVING AN AWAKENING OF MY INNER SELF. I DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAINE IT. IF YOU DONT FEEL WHAT I'M FEELING ITS HARD TO DESCRIBE. THE ONLY THING I COULD SAY IS I FEEL ALIVE , I SEE THINGS IN NEW EYES,FEEL THINGS IN NEW WAYS, I FEEL CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING.THINGS I USE TO FEAR HAS NO POWER OVER ME.ITS NOT THAT IM NOT AFRAID ITS THAT I HAVE NOW A VERY CALMNESS IN ME. ANYWAY,ITS LIKE  THE WORLD LOOKS THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT. I WONDER IF 2012 HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT,ALIENS MAYBE?,SPIRITUAL?PSYCHOLOGICAL?. I CALL IT MY HIGHER SELF MY INNER CONSCIONESS.I THOUGHT MABYE I WAS GOING CRAZY OR DELUSIONAL. IF YOU NEW ME JUST 2YEARS AGO I WAS COMPELTLY DIFFERENT, I WAS VERY SCIENTIFIC, LOGIC WAS SUPREME TO ME. IM STILL VERY LOGICAL BUT I HAVE EXCEPTED THIS FEELING THAT HAS ENPOWERED ME.  DOES 2012 MEAN ANYTHING?IS THESE DECADE IMPORTANT COMPARED TO ALL OF HISTORY? MY INNER SELF TELLS ME WITH A BIG YES .I SEARCH THE WEB BUT THERE S MANY OPINON. I LIKE TO HEAR YA'LL OPINION.
