The black strip seen in PSP_001334_2645_RED could be missing or corrupted data. I don't really think they are going to hide something in such an obvious way. However I was unable to check on other versions of this image as PDS are apparently experiencing some server problems, so I'll check again later.

That's too "In Your Face"...They are trying to draw your attention away from something else in the photo... We need to search the whole photo.

Stumbled into a fascinating directory of images today and found this:

Any ideas? Looks like a shore line with rolling waves, but what is behind the box? No other explanation for having a black box in the middle of an otherwise perfect image...
