I also noticed that and it is similar to one of Hoaglands anomalies (called the Shard if I remember correctly). I am not sure if it crystal/glass or smoke, but the area it is coming out of looks anomalous as well. I will try to clarify as soon as I have some time to work on the image
Hi gmantoo As Iceman has commented, we prefer to allow people to draw their own conclusions from the images rather than force our own perceptions of what is in the image onto people. I have, as requested, highlighted the anomalies that I perceive in the two examples I posted. I do not know if my scribbles make it clearer or not, I will leave that up to the viewer.
Iceman, your images posted seem very clear compared with what I see. They also remind me of the famous image of the WW2 bombing of the cathedral that left just the outer walls and part of the bell tower standing.
I prefer to give as little information as possible to not blinding anybody also this is as far as I know group work and that explain my lack of information given.
Another thing we can't expect being able to find two pictures of the same aria showing the same things because all pictures from NASA are so badly manipulated. Shandre calls the white powder you are talking about spray.
Good day qmatoo, I was trying to say I think we see very big palace or something similar on the picture. We see 3D structure of a building just a little part of it.
There is an odd 'crater' in the bottem left which seems to have a false shadow application and something elevated that looks a lot like a statue.
As I said before, you really need to show us all exactly what you are talking about. You cannot just ring a crater and then expect everyone to know what you are referring to. What I think is a tower, you might think is a wall and what you think is a wall I might this is a tower.
I agree that some of the shadows in that set of Moon photos are far darker than you would expect, but that may be just the exposure or speed of film(ASA) or whatever. Of course, it may be added to obscure things, but we have to look at other pictures of the same area too, to see if the shadow has moved. If not, then it could be something else (such as a deliberate attempt by the people living there to obscure and hide their structures?) I still feel that there is too much white floss/spiders web stuff about on those pictures and I do not know what it is yet.
I have see too many strange things to say that there is "nothing strange on the Moon", but we all have to spend a little time to find other photos of the same area that show the same anomaly. Otherwise we are just pi55ing in the wind.
If the idea is to fantasize about imagained anomalies, then fine......but (as others have said here on the forum) if we want to be taken seriously, then we have to get at least two pictures(with links to original ) of the same area taken at different times, we need to know where the sun is, and we need to have the anomaly pointed out (arrowed or outlined) to us so there is no room for error in interpretation. Anything less than this is wasting everyone's time.
In this one there appear to be structures, organic in shape. There is an odd 'crater' in the bottem left which seems to have a false shadow application and something elevated that looks a lot like a statue.
In this image there appear to be a structure with a tower throwing a shadow and three parallel walls.
chandre: I think you have to say what you see in these areas otherwise we are likely to be going off on a wild-goose-chase. As you say, there are lots of interesting areas, but tell us what do you think you see and then others can confirm or deny it.
Hi gmantoo You discount your find too quickly, there may not be an aerial but the rest of the image appears to have a number of anomalies. I have ringed the areas I suggest you look more closely at and pay attention to the 'watermarks' on the image.
Its a really good image, well done for posting it.
Please excuse the squiggle that looks like a two, its an error but I don't have time to fix it...
I decided to do a bit more investigation on this one. The link to the 4149 page nasa original is here
The picture in the post above shows this - as a 'mast' or aerial.
So, I decided to look for more photographs with the same feature in them and I found only one. 4148-h3 which shows a much clearer picture and make a lot more sense.
Whereas in the first photograph it looked to me as if there was a 'mast' sticking up from the surface towards the camera (even though I now realise that there was no shadow!). Now I can see that it is where the edge of the crater has collapsed.
Sorry folks, it is not a mast. One more point on the scoreboard for the debunkers.
There are lots of these if you search the Lunar Orbiter photographs and they are in really strange places too. Maybe they are not aerials of any kind but they sure do look like something to do with communications link to the picture here
