Chandre,

The origin of our world really is a mystery and all the theories, possibilities, and  historical anomalies make it even more puzzling.  Every now and then we're allowed to get a peek at what may have happened through the pages of a book (religious or otherwise), or an artifact, or maybe even from the testimony of a person that claims they saw something.

I guess it's up to each of us to develop a theory that one would find acceptable based on personal beliefs and training.  I've enclosed a link you may find interesting.

P.S.  It's not a hot-link because some moderators don't care for that...so just cut and paste it into your web browser...it should work.

Thanks NoName, I had not heard of that before. I had heard of the 'natural' deposits found in the old Soviet Union and had wondered about that myself.

Sitchin writes about 'fuel' deposits that the Anunaki mined in the southern hemisphere. The were called blue stones (a lot like the blueberries we are seeing on Mars) and were believed to be uranium. They also made man from apes if the story is to be believed.aww I wonder if thats where the idea for the Pebble Bed Reactors came from ?

We have large uranium deposits being mined in South Africa near a town called Beaufort West. I've included a link describing the deposits.

It's interesting, as long before I knew about the deposits I always referred to the place as 'the badlands' and hated travelling through the area. Theres a feeling of absolute desolation that I associate with it. (OK, I'm a female I get to pull the  touchy-feely card wink). I wonder what Chernobyl 'feels' like when you walk through it. I recently watched a TV show about it and the reporter looked uncomfortable but maybe thats beacuse he was thinking about his unborn children ?

It goes back to another idea I've been mulling over about the craters on Mars and the Moon having being caused by the almost instantaneous explosion of whatever they were using as energy generators. We may not see that as clearly on Earth as our weather patterns would have erased most of the craters, but I wonder if they are there. I'm going to Google Earth the areas you have listed and Beaufort West to check that thought.

This is old information and I hesitate to post it but it is interesting so here goes. Oklo is an area in the Central African State of Gabon, near a town called Franceville.  Nothing unusual about that.  There is also nothing unusual about the fact the French mined uranium in Gabon for about forty years.  However, as with all mines the deposits were eventually exhausted and the area was abandoned.

So why am I posting this?  Because there is a theory that the mined uranium had lower levels of Uranium 235 than what would normally be expected.  The only explanation for this is that the site had at some time in the past been a nuclear reactor.  Yes, that's right a nuclear reactor.

Well, who could have accomplished this feat?  No one!  Why? Because of the theories of evolution and uniformitarianism.  Based on the time it would have taken for this anomaly to be attributed to a purely natural nuclear fission reactor phenomenon, it was determined that man, as we understand the term, was not on the planet.  Consequently there would have been no way for any of this to have occured through outside intervention.

Right now as you sit and read this, there are cultures whose ancient history tells tales of flying ships (Vimana's) and nuclear holocaust on a scale that would be unimaginable today.  These stories tell of entire civilizations being destroyed because of war and the use of a device, that when described, sounds quite a bit like a contemporary definition of what we commonly associate with the 'atomic' bomb; right down to the notorious mushroom cloud.

But of course all of this is just pseudoscience, claptrap, and epic tales passed down from one generation to another. Nothing factual, nothing based on tangible evidence like the explanation for the naturally occuring nuclear reactor at Franceville: "Geologists found that it (the uranium) had been in a reactor before--two billion years ago.  At the time the natural uranium had a concentration of about 3% U235, and could have gone critical with natural water as a neutron moderator." (No heavy water needed?)

Of course with the theories I mentioned earlier anything in life is possible...you just have to add more time to the equation.  Because as we know you can't squeeze blood from a turnip but you can make a man from an ape.  And last but not least anytime you deal with nuclear reactors you will have some type of harmful by-product that you have to contend with.  What do you do with it? That currently is and will continue to be the $64 million dollar question.

However, the theory of the history of the Gabon site, also indicates there are or were deposits of what appears to be plutonium (a naturally occuring by-product of nuclear fission) that somehow have been isolated (or is stored a better word) in areas that have been resistant to two-billion years of deterioration and is therefore of no harm to the public.  Again, I say Hmmm!  We've been trying to figure out how to do that for years and nature got it right in such a manner that it still defies the science of the largest capacity craniums imaginable.

I found the Oklo mystery to be interesting, fun, and an enjoyable exercise in a different level of reality.  But what if........?
