The Planetary Truth Project is a grass-roots group of people that believe in freedom, knowledge and access to raw data. The goal of TPTP is to spread the message about the politicization of the government’s space program and the deliberate manipulation of publically-accessible information to the scientific community and other intelligent, open-minded individuals wishing to better understand humanity’s developmental future. We will not espouse the principles of violence or trickery but provide high-quality, verifiable information through social media, science and science-fiction oriented conventions, tradeshows and mainstream programming. Our actions will prove to those in the secrecy regime that we are prepared for both the truth and the future.
I've worked on mission statements a time or two. Here’s my thought process about why I’ve selected these words and sentences for a mission statement.Let's consider what the goal of TPTP is, and in my mind it is two-fold. We need to alert the scientific community that they are being manipulated and that a quantum shift in scientific theory is about to set them on their ear.
We cannot count on mainstream media or big-market advertising, obviously. Or Wall Street or even your local City Council. No, I think that, like a business plan, we identify the target market and fill a need. "The need," for geeks, is to know something before everyone else; to allow us to feel superior and better prepared for our future than our neighbors.
We also need to proselytize to the masses, through social media, the Internet, and conventions. Many like-minded people will easily follow us with a well-executed and fairly simple Internet-Social Media campaign; the "conspiracytainment" crowd as Shol’va might say.
The thing is, the waters of the "conspiracytainment" crowd run a hell of a lot deeper and faster than the moniker belies. Consider, we're just a very small smidgen of a crowd excited about the future, curious about our surroundings, and mistrustful of the government. Lots of opportunity to attract more like-minded folks to spread the word. Do not discount the geeks.
We need to not to make the mission statement inflammatory or divisive. The goal is to provide high-quality, reasonable information about what’s going on, and leave the other more “out-there” theories (parrot shaped cliffs, four-inch-high Martians, waving statues, etc.) out of this.Let’s focus narrowly on more reasonable, easier to digest topics like water and plant-life for now until the logjam of cynicism starts to ease.
Those in power, the secrecy agenda groups that hold all the cards, see people as a big dumb animal that needs to be corralled. We therefore need to show that we are ready, willing and able to accept the future without revolution or violence.
When you throw all of those concepts into a blender, add some rum, tequila and ice, you come up with something like the above statement.

rblewis6, thank you for your input, the mission statement is a purpose for anyone to rally behind, the actual mission will be spread worldwide (like many branches of a tree) by people of all cultures and beliefs using all the evidence we have now and any new evidence that comes to light.
To me personally, my main focus is the fact manipulation has taken place of imagery and data, whereby the whole human race has been deceived and important knowledge in our understanding has been kept from us, but to other community members their priority may be the actual evidence of artefacts, or the resent statements made by astronauts etc.
Each and everyone of us has something unique to add to the community, but as a whole we could be a powerful influence in bringing about disclosure, and opening up the knowledge that is hidden (no matter how shocking or awe-inspiring that knowledge may be).
Everyone will have an opportunity to comment and add to the mission statement before it is finally posted into the community, but our next focus has to be organising a strategy for getting the message out to the public and media, and it needs to be done in such a way that gets maximum attention from the recipients without causing offence or indifference, and we also have to have a convincing enough argument, so that the official explanations/arguments fall flat on their face.
I know there is a lot of other intellegent people viewing this forum, and this forum invites all of you to join with us and help make a difference.

Great, I have updated my original post. Can we create a Mission Statement page Xenon ? I am busy with our Mission Statement taken from Skippers site. I am changing it a bit as I am sure Skipper will not mind but will post it for comment so we can all agree before we finalise it. Then we have finished the basics and can move forward with ideas for the Media strategy....this is exciting.
Thank you One Single Drop, you are a man of many talents That is a beautiful image and a motto I would be proud to rally around. If no one objects, can we tick off this item from our list and incorporate it into our pages ?
There is nothing quite like a blank page to inspire or intimidate you.
We are standing on the edge of the abyss, we have the opportunity to step forward into the darkness and undertake a venture that will be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. We are all staring into the void, scared to take the first step, that step that requires a leap of faith because every person that is truly alive is terrified of the unknown.
Don't be, the path is much wider and easier than you imagine.
I will try to share some of my experience with you. I create Non-Profit Organisations as part of my daily business life. It is incredibly simple and easy once you understand how. It goes something like this....
1. You collect a group of like-minded people that share a common goal and passion (tick)
2. You create a forum where they are able to interact with each other (tick)
3. You create a Mission Statement (tick - JP Skippers statement on TPTP)
4. You create a logo that people can identify with and rally around (tick - thanks to One Single Drop)
4. You ask each member what their strengths are and what they are willing to do for the group, there is no pressure on members (even the tiniest input will help the group as a whole)
5. You list your objectives for the group
6. You assign 'jobs' that need to be done like a Marketing Strategy, Media Campaign etc and you ask for volunteers to create Task Groups to address those issues or to post ideas and allow everyone to input on them until something concrete is formed.
7. Once you have formulated your strategies, you decide how to implement them i.e a Media Strategy. You identify the market you need to reach, you create a product that will appeal to the market and then you devise a strategy to get the product to that market. It's really fun and I am not a Marketing fundi at all but as a group I have no doubt we can come up with some innovative, interesting and non-threatening ideas to get our message out to the masses.
8. You sit back and wait for the reaction. You appoint Public Liason Members to deal with any enquiries from the Media or members of the public and you count your blessings when these start to arrive.
9. You work with other organisations that share your goals.
10. You enjoy what you are doing as this is a labour of love, you don't make money for it so you should have fun doing it !
I create the concepts for the Non-Profits and I administer a few of my own. I am good at research and organising but things like Marketing Strategies etc do not excite me. I have no doubt that all of us have unique skills that can be combined to create something that JP Skipper and all of us will be proud of.
I invite input and discussion.
