Hi ARP2 Yes I saw that and the one with the 'face'. A few appear to have growths on the body that make one think of eyes but as this is so far from my area of expertise I cannot even begin to imagine what they could be. All that I know for sure is that they are fascinating !
I too am anxious to finally find out what they really are. some seem to have little "tentacles" or "legs" under them too! Did you see the one with the face??? I pointed it out in arrows... Take Care, ARP2
Hi ARP2, Really interesting post as usual. The web image with the face and tower is of such bad quality I cannot even get to your image on it. The last image is more for Papa, but I LOVE your snails. They are nice and clear. Did you notice that if yoiu play with the resolution and get a clearer shot of the scene the shadows seem to indicate that the forms are somehow suspended above the ground ! In most you can also see what I would refer to as a 'hovercraft' skirt or a cuttlefish appendage ? The one with the open jaws seems to be 'dead' and part of it is on the ground while the front bit is suspended. These are fascinating forms. I can't wait to see what they finally turn out to be
Hi, I found these three images from the MSSS image gallery... the numbers should be there, let me know if you need them... In the first image, to the left, looks to me like another giant face....what do you think???
The second image looks to me like many snail-like lifeforms all over that part of the surface of Mars, and some coming out of the sand/ground.� One has what looks to me like its jaws are open, very similar to a previous post I made not long ago. Simple rocks just dont do this. Also, many of the "snails"� take different forms, as I believe their bodies to be soft like earth snails. One of them has its mouth open, and another comes out of its mouth, and a third comes out of the seconds mouth.�
The third image is not the best of these three, but looks like a metallic object...
