Yep, masjosh, I agree. I now see what Xenon means by shadow to the right. To me it looks like the dark side of a rock in front of Xenon's spike.

The animal head anomaly definitely has my attention, along with Xenon's shadow.  The animal head looks like one of those creepy statues you see on old buildings...  Good stuff. Analyzing and drawing up our own opinions are why we are here!

It looks just like a small crack to me also (30-40 cm) and the shadow is on the side of the rock at right, because the sun is at top right. What else could cause this shadow? I find the (wo)man, animal (with breathing apparatus?) and shields/boards more interesting imho...

I think Xenon is talking about this thing.  It looks like the shadow is going to the right while 

all the other shadows are going to the left.  The other weird thing about these kinds of anomalies 

is they're too dark and black to be a shadow.  I'd like to think it's just a crack in a rock but it doesn't look right.

And we have looked at this one before in the cheerful and sad portraits thread.

Again the photo with my marks around the objects...

The little area below this upright shield (with vertical markings?) looks serrated (could be caused by rock at right) at the bottom and has a slightly different color than the sand or the rocks. On the left side of it the rock does not end nicely....just disappears. Could this be an entrance to underground dwellings/caves and is the shield some kind of door, put aside?

Can you indicate in a photo which spike and which shadow you mean? The sun is to the upper right and most shadows go to the left...
Imho I do not agree that the (wo)man and animal are part of the terrain. If so, the woman's dark head then should be a carving in the rock behind her. I do not agree, the rock goes straight on behind her. I also noticed in front of the animal two strange upright planks or boards and also in the upper right of the photo on the big rock.

Imho it is just part of the terrain, what has my attention is the upright dark spike in the centre of your first image, the shadow it cast is the opposite to the other shadows in the image

Somewhere on this website I saw the attached photo. The focus of the topic was on the animal-like form between the rocks. It looks like a donkey or small horse with a strange big mouth/lips. But scanning this photo some more I noticed what looks to me like a woman sitting on her butt, her back to the camera, with her right arm stretched out. The hair is dark and it looks like she has sunglasses on. Low on her back she wears a small backpack with three or more straps. Enlarge the smallest photo to 160% and you will see that it is definitely not pareidolia. More to the left is a white round object with small ball-like forms. Judge for your self, like Joseph Skipper used to say....
