Alien Anomalies

I found a kiln on Sol 1243 images. The first 5 show kiln remains. I am certain as I make pottery, have a Btec in Industrial Ceramics and CDT and a degree in Archaeology and Prehistory.

I know a kiln when I see one

Anyway here are some of the details from photos taken by Curiosity

This white material is thermal cladding,found in any modern kiln, a pottery shard bottom right

Bit hard to see the second half of the connector at the left side, its partly under the rock right center and also partially covered in insulation material.

  Lid with hinge, electrical cables wrapped in some kind of insulation (they didnt have rubber)
