I agree the shadow makes no sense at all. The Sun is almost at high noon maybe one o'clock.What could be casting this?

Shown here is the full colour-difference image including the fan-shaped anomaly as seen in the original post (red ellipse). I have placed a yellow ellipse around many of the surface objects that would appear to be something other than just rocks. I think the objects showing within the light blue ellipse may possibly be structures as they display geometrical form.
What is of real interest is the large rock contained within the green rectangle. As the face of the rock was dark in the original image I have lightened it to observe the detail. What natural forces could mould the recognizable shapes that can be seen all over this rock? These shapes appear to have been formed to an intelligent design. What do you think?
