Here is the same view with some of the carved features colourized. You may find that contained within some of the features are even smaller carvings that are recognizable. I wonder what is on the far side of the stones as on the more distant stones there are more carvings but at this point I have not colourized them. The recognition of these carvings by some of the major archaeological institutions may be helpful in finding more clues that relate to our distant past.
You may find a little concentration is required to identify some of the carved features. Do you see the figure with the "long nose"?

For a long time I have always thought that there were things about Stonehenge that the majority of people were either not aware of or could not comprehend. Archaeologists examining the huge standing stones do not seem to have found anything of real significance on the stones. I have had another look at the images I have of the 'henge and I am convinced that the ancients who built the monument were a very advanced race of beings. Reviewing some of the catalogued images of the monument in conjunction with a colouring technique is showing that there are many semi-hidden pointers as to what this race of beings looked like and also culture indicators. During the time of construction the stones were carved in a very sophisticated manner although many of these remarkable carvings are beginning to lose their sharpness due to long-term weathering.
The image shown below is a general view of the stones that has also been used for this investigation. Note how clean the stones are.
See if you can spot any of the carvings on the near faces of the stones. There are quite a number of them on each stone and the lintels.
