There is some intricate detail in this pic and although I see most of what you are pointing out It is hard to visualize some of it because of the amount of small parts and junk that is laying everywhere. I have attempted to identify some objects that have the "look" of manufactured objects. Although a manufactured object can take any shape, I try to look for straight lines, right angles, near perfect circles and objects with uniform indentations or uniform ridges on thier perimeters.
Here is the original view with the colour saturation reduced by 25%.
You will notice I have placed yellow ellipses around some of the objects of interest.
These objects are either a single feature or a group(s) of objects.
What caught my attention when I first viewed this image is the shape contained within the red ellipse but on closer examination I found many other objects of interest.
To many viewers what can be seen, at first, may appear as just rocks but closer inspection is advised to observe what is really on the surface.
There are many other object features to observe besides the features I have highlighted. See if you can spot any.
Whilst I would agree with Xenon that too much enhancement can have a tendency to change the characteristic features of the object detail I have applied a little shadow enhancement to the other areas in this zoomed in crop in an effort to sharpen the view without changing the object detail. Viewing the images from this particular sol there is plenty of object detail to observe. I have placed a green ellipse around some of the objects that I have spotted. These objects are definitely not rocks but would appear to very tiny structural shapes that have definite form. I have adjusted and reduced the colour saturation.
Have a look and see if you can spot any other recognizable shapes or objects. There are many to observe but you will have to apply concentration as they are very small.
nighthawk I am sorry to say I am not seeing the same features as you with regards to the alien, what I see is either a rock or clay that is being dissolved/eroded by either fluids, winds, salts, enzymes, or bacteria, there are lots of other anomalies throughout the original image that do warrant looking closer , the problem (to me at least) is that the filtering you have done changes the whole context of the image and highlights features that are not really there. I can understand the similarity of a mutilated being/droid, but the notion of this being a war relic seems foolish as we still don't know what caused Martian catastrophe in the first place.
