Macten.

I have just found another image that may answer your query about the shadow area of the large anomalous structure.

The view is from sol 620 and no adjustments have been made to the image.

Macten, I will have another look at the image but I think there is a loss of definition due to being in a shadow.

If I find any detail of substance in the area highlighted I will post the image.

This is an interesting view as there are many interesting objects to spot and observe on the surface.

I am wondering what the large structure is and its function.

It would seem possible that it could be something industrial as it dwarfs everything else.

I was looking for more stuff, trying to clarify this amazing object you found when I ran across something I have seen before.  There is a blocky appearance to the area below the object and I would like to know if this is some kind of pixelation due to the lack of light or is it obfuscation?

Wow. Great find Timewarp. SOL 610 images have more artificial structures than any SOL I have yet to investigate. I located your discovery via Gigapan, and made some minor color changes which I attached.. (lowered the lightness and desaturated a bit? in attempts to better analyze the white 'tower'.. I have to say, it almost looks like smoke. Could it possibly be smoke or steam? Are we looking at something nuclear?? What you found here is amazing to me, and I too look forward to other members thoughts.

The image shown below was captured during sol 610. I have placed an ellipse around the group of objects.

Could the tall objects possibly be towers of some description?

The first image is a crop from the original download with no resampling and the second is a colour-difference close view.

What do make of the group of objects? Your comments or opinions would be appreciated.
