Ok I could not help myself from enhancing this image. 3 layers of overlay with 9 degrees of high pass filter in photoshop. I just wanted to see what was to the left of the crowned figure and I got more than I bargained for.
I had not noticed the scallop, thanks for pointing that out. It does look like a shell. Your pic has some very interesting stuff. The item you pointed out has some more detail to it. It could be some type of useful household item as it seems to have mechanical function and decoration as well. The bottom has what looks like a square indentation on the front and a fluted wheel in the back. The top speaks for itself with some type of handle or ducting. There is also a carving in this picture that is so well done I dont need to enhance it. Eyes, nose, mouth and even an ear or earring clearly visible with a hat or crown.
I know what you mean Mac, it's almost overwhelming. What about that weird scallop looking thing growing out of the ground? I feel like we've only just begun with this one.
Here is one from Sol 117 not too far away that I think is mechanical also. I can't say what for sure but it just doesnt look natural to me.
THis object has me very puzzled. Is it a mechanical device or art or something completely different? There is what appears to be mechanical debris around it. Just to the left of it is some wierd formation that looks like a skull and to the right it looks like an alligator head.
THe original PIA was 25 megs so I didn't include it but if you are familiar with the rocknest it is just to the left of the cresent moon looking rock.
