The fact that the width between the lines that I draw along the sides of the tower expands upwards. is that the image of the tower is taken down (from the air), and the same goes for the main part of the subject but this is in direct opposition to the intended position of the camera.
Speaking of Summary:
Take an overview photo of this size and show detail in the distance, as is done here is totally impossible. This is an extremely complex photography, projects. in my view, not possible under the given conditions.
Not far from the tower (already found) is something that evokes curiosity and questions about the aspect ratio, also the photography technology. It is therefore likely that the camera has taken pictures from different viewpoints by traveling from left to right or vice versa. it would take a long time, but with reference to the shadow around the photo seems photographic works have only lasted for a few minutes. I am sure that the images are taken from different angles, if not you could see the curvature of the landscape caused by this single camera position, but there is no sign of this curvature. This photography project is a great mystery to me.
Wow! I just got done looking at the Rocknest panoramic. Unbelievable. I have never seen so many anomalies in one photo. I can't believe they would release that, even with the bogus pink color and the heavy smearing. I will spend hours on this one. I wish I had more time right now.
That's one thing I want you to notice. It is the color scale of the image, (compared to Gray Scale), it is clearly very wide, which means that there are numerous colors in the environment that are filtered out. All colors that have biological implications are blocked. Farmers would probably say that the images from Mars were in sheep colors.
That is odd, you can definitely see the heavy smearing on the left side and it also looks like some good cover up behind the head also. I couldn't get the link to work. If this is an MSL photo things are getting strange.
This is a MSL image (panorama mosaic) taken by the Mastcam while Curiosity was working at "Rocknest" in October and November 2012 (the full image shows the extent of the smudging)... http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/jpeg/PIA16453.jpg

Thank you Iceman, this is a very interesting image that deserves further study, but what I have not worked out why there is so much obvious smudging to the left of the horse while the rest of the image is clear ???
