Have you all noticed how older rover imagery has been degraded (some to the point of photo copy) and in places swapped altogether, the newer MSL images often show edited backgrounds with little if any detail, and the large scale smudging plus distraction taking place only makes me wonder what more they are trying to hide, but to be so blatant about it is foolish for them to say the least.

I agree...it's like sitting on a creek and noticing the vegetation - except here with NASA and especially MSSS ( Malin Space Science Systems) which controls much of the camera feed no doubt obfuscates all of it along with the AI on-board the satellites and rovers.  One thing is fore sure = we aren't seeing the true color nor landscape.

I completely agree Q. However the shape of the nose and position in relation to the eyes and mouth with the artisic flair of the barred teeth as if in anger, plus the abstract "mechanization" or "Death face" in exactly one half of the sculpture or drawing are too many coincidiences in one anomaly for me to be convinced otherwise.  We all have our opinions and I do take note of observations from other participants but I belive this is just something Nasa or JPL missed because they were focused on all the other anomalies in this pic.

Keep in mind too, that NASA place smudges over some areas to stop us seeing what is there. To my eye, these often look like holes in the rock because they are not always in the right place for shadows. That does not seem to stop them and I suspect that the artificial intelligence program searches for certain patterns and covers them over with smudge areas regardless of where they are in the image. These same smudged areas often look like eyes or mouths, when really, they are smudges which do not have detail within them.

Thank you. There is much in this Sol that has been obfuscated.  I sent this picture to Skipper but never got a reply. I was so shocked at the time I thought NASA would pull the pic as It represented a "smoking gun"( to me anyway) that Humans or humanoids had been on Mars before. No one ever commented except for Goggog who couldn't find the link.  This is a work of art as even the "shine spot" on his eye is visible as if the Sun were on his right hand side. Only artists do this. I even get the feeling that this represents a "South American" as in Aztec or Mayan person.

Yes sometimes I speculate a bit too much so take what you want and leave the rest!

What an awesome photo Macten.  I see what you mean about the half and half face.  I downloaded the image at the link you gave us and the quality was horrible.  You can't even make the face in that one.  I came back here and got your copy to study, there is a lot going on here.

Iceman, how can anyone know for sure. I see three of the threads, and the three do seem to run maybe perfectly parallel. One of them seems to stop at a a spot on the hub, and the other two continue on up. I am simply going to make a "guess" that these white lines are somehow imperfections in the photo. If this was a print, we could just say "well, someone scratched the pic". But, this are digital photos, so, I don't know what type of photo imperfection (if any) could cause these "white lines".

Yes, they do have the appearance of spider filaments, but two of them just seem to run on up in the pic, on above the edge of the wheel.

Did you notice that half his face is human and the other half is stone or maybe an idol. Very warlike angry expression barring his teeth.  I dont know if this represents man turning into god or vice versa.

Damn I spelled aliens wrong!
