Thanks, I will give that a try. I had not noticed the tracks so close to the object.  I do belive tho, that any closer view of this would have been caught by JPL and obfuscated.

HI Macten

It's hard to tell as you can see the rover tracks to and from the area and you can assume that the rover may have disturbed the areas and objects you are highlighting.

My suggestion is that you look at a traverse map for the sol you have highlighted and then work back to get a site id or sol number for the area that is in question and then look up some images for that sol so that you can see what is in the area from the closer view.

Use the Mars Decoder programme on the link address as a starting point.

The following images appear to show mechanical debris. The item in question is indicated in the red box.
It appears to have caused a shallow impact crater, the debris being partially buried.
Other questionable items can also be seen in the immediate vicinity.
