The Enigma of PIA01907

A tip from polluck lead to this report. It is a comparative analysis of PIA01907 downloaded in the TIFF ( 12 minutes ) and quicker JPEG format. The attached are the JPEG, then an extreme right edge close-up of the TIFF. This latter is with a huge smudged area at the base of a large rounded hill. The smudged area appears as a fog or mist, but closer it looks like sand waves. Again, the same area in the JPEG shows absolutely no smudge ( but in fact reveals much detail albeit with the usual unmistakable 'special editing' present). In this case, the area is admittedly partly obscured by a variant process, yet, some detail is still extractable. Where the TIFF 'fog' was, there is something on the mountainside, just barley in sight. I have included another photo which is coloured a light blue to outline this object, It is incredibly huge and probably the reason for the TIFF cover-up effort. In any event, the JPEG view of the plains below contain many old structures for anyone who might want to do some exploring. One last example of these endless ruins is attached and is found about the center of the picture on the plains. Good work then and a useful lead from polluck, thanks.
