Pullocks, hello again. Have examined the photo you submitted and it is not a helmet. The entire debris area in view is however the blasted parts of some originally larger mechanism which now lies in pieces on the dunes of Mars. This is the rule rather than the exception when it comes to the red planet. There was indeed a cosmic war which raged throughout the universe and in a rear guard retreat the rebel host and entire fleet put up there last stronghold of resistance in this very solar system. They dug in with science and machinery we might consider bordering on magic. These entrenched beings were located and attacked in a near viscious bombardment. Their mightiest defences fell and they retreated to intermingle with the inhabitants of the system. These are still in hiding yet control and guide the world, its leaders and thus peoples. This is just my reconstruction from many sources and much study and thought. I have started a work on this very subject to submit to the AA viewers soonest. Meanwhile, back at the ranch ... keep up the good spirit and look for some more stuff ... its definitly out there !

Hello polluks, quite a remarkable find on PIA01907. Have enhanced the photo you sent and note some simular arrangements, such as visor and mask clips. The reason it's geometry is not identical-looking, I believe, is that the bottom ( air/communications ) pack .. has been blasted and fused up into the visor area. As well, this patendly manufactured product, the 'helmet', seems to contain identifying curcuits and direct-wiring features, such as the conical crystal(?) parts and 5 sided ( ceramic?) heat-sinks which they rest in. You may be able to spot these in the attached ( one from the 'skull' and your find as well). Have also downloaded the giant TIFF ( 12 minutes ) and the smaller JPEG of PIA01907, and will submit a post on these you may be interested in ( "Civilization Evidence"). Again polluks, good work.

Thought to do a follow-up on  the Pilot possibility. Have rounded-up some present-day fighter helmets for comparative purposes ( 3 attached ), plus a final attach that brings out further detail, admittedly at the expense of looking a bit congested. This last was included just for thoes who might have a penchant to percieve some overlooked detail and connect the dots so to speak. Again, I suppose we might have to beam the material over to forensics at CSI Intergalactic for determination. Again, this is just a view that seems to, for now, explain the strange skull-like artifact now resting on the sands of Mars. Strange indeed ... if it is one of our ancestors .
