It does look like an asteroid and it is definitely in that photo, but is it really out there?
Google will probably hold up its hands and say that it stitched the space images together wrongly.
This guy who discovered it says that it was not there a few months ago, so I guess he has been keeping an eye on that area of space and would know if there were suddenly different stars in that region. That is what would happen if Google stitched the images into the wrong place.
More likely this is the big one and someone has spotted it heading our way !!
