I took this photo of an interesting fungus this past spring. Re-reading this post and the original through link,on the MAR page re: discussion of possible receeding water.. I thought I would post this image. The fungus in the image was a bit old and losing some of its original structure but obviously not the color. I have no clue or insight about what the shape on Mars could be (organic or manufactured) but the discussion of water/moisture just reminded me of this fungus..
You may well be correct but these are so enlarged that it is difficult to see.
Another problem is that we need references to the original picture so that we can all open it up and examine it.
Many of the images are JPG format with reduced ranges of greys and so this means that what may have been dark grey in the original now appears black. This loses detail and gives false impressions.
I do not doubt that there are pieces of machinery and we have found many over the recent months and years, but we need to present our evidence in a way which is convincing to others by finding other photos showing the anomaly from different perspectives and in different lighting conditions. This would reveal false assumptions made because of different shadows and image characteristics.
There is a link in my signature to my search facility, but there are many different search sites around the web to enable different views to be found.
I dont think that the object described as a snake is really a creature.
It appears to be mechanical in nature like bent metal. I have found 2 other pieces of debree from a machine of some type in the same photo. I don't know if anyoned else has clarified these (probably) same objects but here they are anyway.
