Hi Frogman13! I see it in your google Mars pic, but I can't find it is the Mars orbiter photo.
There might be something there, but with Google Mars, you just never know if what you are seeing is really there, because Google ars is just not a good final resource.
I know, because I started out using Google Mars too. I found a lot of "stuff", but i was debunked to death, because the real NASA photos often not verify what Google nars showed.
For general research, I believe Google Mars is still pretty good, but the real key, is to use the "spacecraft imagery" selections that are also shown in Google Mars. Find something interesting on google Mars, then look on the page and click on the spacecraft image windows to see the NASA photos. There are five different camera selections. I like the CTX and MOC Imagery cameras for getting useable pics. CTX pics, after magnification, require a little time to come up to focus, as you move around.
The CTX window has a +/- and full screen for viewing the pics.
Good luck, and glad to try to answer any questions
Still studying Google Mars (a new hobby) I came across this anomaly. It does not look like anything else in the area and is partially buried. Appears as if the whole area was disturbed at one time with gigantic flows of some sort and this "thing" may have been carried along with only the top portion showing now. It measures about 25 feet high and one portion of it (which appears cylindrical) is 10ft wide if you can really go by the measurment tool in the program. In any case, I'd like to hear what anyone else might think about my find.
