Where is a dust (sand)?

Space between two stones or rover tracks is not the same

Still the form of drawing of a protector can depend on a superficial tension of soil. It is the characteristic it can be various in different territories. We don't know much about local Martian conditions

On yours with triangular top, and in my drawing the flat.confuse

but look at the edges on your and mine picture.On my picture it looks like some kind of mosaic with sharp edge.I will post picture where rover make track on similar terain

Hi laserdance!

You wrote in thetopic line: Collumbia hills- Gusev - Mars
So, I'm assuming that the pictures are made by the Spirit Rover.

It would be useful to know the "Sol" time, when these pictures were taken.
If you are unsure, then everything else you know. Otherwise, the information would be useless! Write down alwaysthe source address, if you there is no other information. Mabye we can figure out the rest.
