Thanks Goggog and Eaol. I'm satisfied with the dust devil hypothesis. I've got a few more anomalies I'll post as soon as I get a chance. I hope it's not just a severe case of pareidolia....but in any case I think there's reason to keep searching.

I was about to say that.  I immediately thought of a dust devil.  The shadow gives it away.

Hello,

Any thoughts on what this could be?

I see a white ball casting a shadow but I don't see any trails like some fallen boulders on the moon or mars .

It's labelled : spacer.gif

the last two pics are at 200 and 400 percent.
