qmantoo, the full image I posted above is the PDS 'img' view saved as a jpg.

Has anyone noticed what appears to be a metallic dome-like structure in the image?

Dont you think some of this is stretching it a bit guys?
I am sure this is moving towards seeing the faces in the clouds again.
We really need to use the PDS images rather than the contrasty ones in the MER site.

All very odd to me as a recent viewer. I have noticed that as I get accustomed to the imagery, specifically the reptiles (easy to relate to) I can see through the layers of modeling. It is going to be a challenge to get to the next level. thx all

Here is the full PDS view.

I have increased the contrast and brightness to make the image more presentable. There are faces showing in the image but I believe these shapes to be very small structures.

What's of more interest are the long light grey objects in the distance.

There are a few faces in this picture, both black and white. note the marked items.

This pictures tells us wee are looking at some meetings or a show,
wee can see some familiar faces similar to some famous Americans.

If I were asked about what Phoenix mission was all about? I would say establishing and experimenting transferring data on an ultra speed.

As a matter of interest, here is the same crop from the PDS 'img' file.

No adjustments or enhancements have been performed on the new image except for rotating the section 20 degrees to the right and saving as a jpg.

In my opinion, the PDS img/jpg image is no better than the downloaded JPG image.

Why dont you get the copies from the pds and compare the two side by side. Something may show up better in one than in the other. Also Sol 1526 should be in the(my) database so you can find other images taken through different filters at the same site.

The view has many interesting artefacts and anomalies.

Take note of the area enclosed in yellow and the points of excessive brightness which are indicated by the red arrows.
