It is extremely obvious that this isn't a photograph at all - it is a photo that may or may not be in the visible spectrum mapped onto a 3d model. They didn't do a good job and there is a jaggy left behind. It is 3D as much as any CGI model. Like Google Earth. I'm pretty sure they don't claim this to be a photo, either.
Scientists do use these images, but not for serious research. It isn't a photo, it's a model. They use the high-resolution photographs and maps for their data, as well as robots on the surface and the like. The only reason they can't answer everything about what they see is that they don't have the right ideas in their head about how stuff works to shape a planet like Mars. It's no place like home down there.
Like, for instance, those relatively clean boulders all over the place are recent additions to the surface. It's a collapsed ring system from only a couple thousand years ago. But the mainstream, with all of their discredited and often ridiculous assumptions about how things work, has not realized this.

haha photographs?? The ones that ESA or NASA take? Evidence? Yes, we can use these and we can use the same ones that scientists are supposed to use but .... ESA, JAXA, and NASA are becoming part of the Disney organisation. I woud not be surprised if we saw the Disney palace on the terrain, the one which features at the start of the Disney films.
I agree that we should use real photos and not these pseudo 3-d ones we are offered as a pretty-pretty picture. I agree that we should use official sites (which this probably is) but even they are ba5tardising their own images and stitching them together to make montages and sci-fi-like movies.
Do you think we should have more BBCode tags like these? [disillusion][cynical]Really, things are getting too bad. I am getting to the point where I think "I believe what I believe and let the others just get on wirth all of the deception for those who still want to believe in Santa Claus."[/cynical][/disillusion]
