maybe, but none of "them" start posts which actually show any real anomalies since they are not allowed to promote the un-orthodox and acknowledge that aliens exist.
Yes "they" might post a photo and ask a question, but never actually admit that they think this is a photo of a being on another planet, or say this shows a photo of a building built by an alien.

Perhaps a man or woman would thrive to the top solely IOT (in order to) disclose something that would have scientific backing...for now.?!<>>? just a thought

ahh - but it is fairly easy to tell after a little while because their actions give them away. Slippery Customers they be....
If I was a government plant
Like religious people not taking the name of God in vain,
so thems cannot do what thems ought not to do -
'cos then thems become one of us, thems do.
Do you see what I mean, do ye?
(sorry, this is zummerzet-speak, and I am feeling in that kind of a mood)

Something I found on another website which may well have some truth in it... and I suspect that we have seen this type of person on this forum.

Actually, there is a program where you volunteer to monitor certain websites, join in occasionally, that sort of thing. It's less for this sort of site and more for something like alt.explosives, but it is there. It's not a disinfo program though, more of a way to ferret out "turrists."

You have to have a certain set of qualifications, you get assigned to certain websites, rotate around from time to time. You don't get paid. Considering it only costs the gubmint a small administration charge for the LTC's time that runs it, it's a good deal, they've caught several people that were Up To No Good. The price-performance stat is one of the best of all the programs they've got running.

When people join the forum, they normally want to post things that they have found and to share these anomalies with the forum community, so when someone joins who does not act in a 'normal' way, they have to expect some different reaction.

Part of this reaction often involves prompting them to make a post showing an anomaly and pushing them to say that they consider intelligent design is behind what they see. This kind of post shows that they are willing to fully engage with the forum community and, like I mentioned above, means that they have committed themselves as someone who does not believe what the media tells us.

In my experience, there are 3 types of people who come here. One fully engages and wants to share their own finds, the next does not create an account but just comes to read the posts for their own amusement and enjoyment. The last kind is the person who joins for whatever reason but never fully commits to the forum community.

Occasionally, this last type sometimes also wants to be a help and guiding light towards a more scientifically focused way of showing anomalies. This in itself is fine, and if it is genuine, shows a kindness and need to be of service to our fellow man. That is laudable.

This type of person often makes comments of a general nature but nothing specific about the anomaly being discussed. Many times they do not offer their own opinion but prefer to discuss things academically and more objectively rather than subjectively offering their own interpretation of what is shown in the specific thread.

Now, this may be a scientific personality characteristic, I dont know, but it is rather unusual behaviour - given that no-one is forcing them to come here and that I am assuming that this subject is an interest of theirs.

Unfortunately, it does not achieve these stated objectives if answers to posts are of a general and non-specific nature. Forum members want to see others who are like them and who are genuinely interested in finding anomalies. Talking about generalities in an image or discussing the qualities of sand dunes as a landscape feature is not a way to endear ourself to the forum community. Particularly if we want to gain authority and respect from other members, this will only serve to lower their opinion of us and mark us as a 'waffler', someone who does not address the points raised in a direct and useful manner.

Surely, the way to us becoming a helping and guiding light is to post our own anomalies giving examples of a more scientific approach and showing that we are similarly genuinely interested in searching for anomalies and revealing them to the forum community.

What we really need to see from everyone, and something which a government agent would probably never do, is to post an anomaly which we, ourselves had found. This has to be accompanied with an interpretation or a speculation which affirms publicly that there is intelligence behind the anomaly.

Posting an image for general discussion is sometimes useful, but is not helpful in engaging in the forum. This is because it is not placing our own personal interpretation on anomalies found, but rather is an impersonal and academic way to approach anomaly-hunting.

A government agent would probably post an ambiguous image, something which could be interpreted as an anomaly but they would never actually speculate that the anomaly was of intelligent design. There are a number of posts on here already which illustrate these points.

One last thing to remember, most of us make occasional gaffs and mistakes by posting something which the others can show is a normal feature of the landscape or an artifact of the image. This helps to show genuine enthusiasm for the subject, and shows that occasional mistakes are a natural occurrance in this investigation 'work'.

Actually, it becomes fairly obvious as time goes on...

On this type of forum there are always going to be people who work for the government in various capacities, and one of the defining ways that we can identify these people is that they are not allowed to become 'one of us' - that means one of the skeptics and the disbelievers in the 'truth' the world governments and space agencies feed us.

This means that they are not allowed to actively go "spreading controversy and discontent" by starting new threads which show anomalies.

Of course, it does not matter particularly who comes on the forum, as long as the regulars are aware what is their agenda and where their 'loyalties' lie. Some government agents prefer to sit in the background sending private messages to particular members they think can be influenced, and others like to participate in the discussions. However, both types are always sailing on the right side of the border line, never saying anything publicly which could be controversial or deemed anti-establishment by their handlers.

Over time, we all form our own opinion of personalities on this forum and the regulars probably know the fakes(government plants) from the real thing(searchers for the truth?).

I would point anyone who is interested to read this post and add to it if they feel they have found any other identifying features which belong to our governmnent friends. Maybe they will post their job spec and responsibilities there too?

If I was a government plant

Am I being paranoid? No, I dont think so, but people reading this may think so. I have seen examples on this and other forums where the government line is not swallowed completely and these kind of places do attract those who would like us to believe the official view. Who knows, in the future we may all be rounded up and locked away in camps, but until that happens, we just plod onward trying to show what is going on under the noses of the rest of the sleeping population.
