i'm not trying to derail your thread.

but i can't change the perspective in my head, that the thing is elevated no matter how hard i try.

but the absence of shadow is annoying!

i have looked into the shadow before but never thought much about it coz of my attention
around it.

can you do that close-up of the big delta wing on the right of it?


i believe we can see underneath it better with your skills!!
there is no shadow but it does appear to be elevated by something.

These are from sol 855 Nav cam around the 30th May 2006
However, the Pancam L5 picture above is taken around the 26 Mar 2007 so they either stayed at that site, returned there or there is something very wrong with the search program.
