Hey Dave, not sure about the lines. I think they just might be a flaw in the photo. I've seen that tether video also and I think it's amazing, almost scary. I wanted to point out one more thing in the photos you found yesterday I just didn't have the time. I have dail-up and I work alot so I mostly just read what everyone else has to say. I love this site. Next to the small scratch it looks like one of those cigar shaped UFO's sitting in the bottom of a crater. I've seen other photos were they do this too. It must be a good resting place for them. Anyways, happy hunting and welcome to the site.
Great analysis levelwind, those domes are literally everywhere on the surface and I happened to watch the sts tether video and they looked very similar. Great find on structure in the crater goggog can't believe I missed that one. You guys notice the two "blacked out" lines in the middle picture, anything being hidden ie antenna/radio tower or just a normal photo line?
Nice work Goggog. I like how you sharpened the image. It looks like some earth moving has been going on to the left. Could be some kind of mining outpost.
Nice pictures Dave. I see what Gman is saying. The same thing has happened to me. Here they are flipped. The first one worked great when I turned it over, I even found a strange building in one of the craters. The second one I played with for quite awhile and couldn't get the same affect. I put it here rotated so you could see what I mean. I also played with the contrast, brightness, color, and sharpened it. No matter what I did the bright one on the bottom left still looked like a dome.
I realise these are both Apollo pictures, but sometimes when I used to look at the Lunar Orbiter photographs, they needed to be flipped top-to-bottom in order for the craters to show up as "dips" rather than "bumps". Now, this might have been something in the photo that was fooling my eyes and giving me a visual clue that was incorrect. If there are bumps and dips in the same photo it could be that there are raised area which look like inverted craters. In the past, I have seen areas like this too.
Maybe examine them carefully and see if you can find anything which would provide further evidence that they are not normal craters. If you can, then post it for others to comment on.
I've been going over these pictures over and over and these dome like structures on the moon looked like something else. I don't know if this topic has ever been brought up before but what about these domes actually being ships? They look very similar to the "critters" flying around the STS tether video and their color is always different from the surface area around them. Any thoughts?
