There are more debris fields that Spirit saw... I modified some names by adding cool so I could find them. Curiously, you can't find these on the rover web site any more. Another pic of a skull, on SOL 1513 for example, can't be seen.
Chandre, I dont seem to be able to get any further with your thingame-whatsit but after a bit of processing, there are a number of other areas I want to draw our attention to.
Firstly the 'tragedy mask' of OBriens post. It appears to have something metalic or reflective extending out of the left 'eye' of the mask(right as we look at it) which I suspect is machinery of some kind (or a weapon?). There is also something on the top flat area too which is unrecognisable. It is definitely not a mask anyway.
Secondly, there is the 'rabbit hole' in the rock in the foreground which looks to me as if there is something just inside the entrance to the left as we look at it. Also there are a few objects on the ground outside the entrance in front of and to the right from our perspective. The highest hole nearly on the top of the rock appears to be leaking some kind of fluid which goes down the rock and off 'a step' or ledge onto the ground. It is feint, but thats what I think it may be.
The point marked X on the left hand side I think may be a shelter or where something lives, as you can just about see the being at the extreme edge of this picture inside the 'cave' or shelter entrance. I have not found a picture which shows us further to the left which may give us more detail on this.
Point marked A in red shows a squareish oblong hole under this rock, there does not appear to be anyone at home!
Point marked B is a strange one. I am not quite sure what it is but I think it may be two things. One in front of the other. The front thing being like a small mast or aerial and the rear thing being like a weapon(tank?) of some kind (again) or machinery. This is the only way I can make sense of it, although it looks almost like smoke signals rising from the ground.
The definition is not good enough to be certain of anything in this picture so we have to do the best we can.
Completely at a loss of ur point Obrien. Have u found something or what???!! Does this require a new thread? Why dont u post ur finds in original thread?
Because
Xenon wrote in "Contravention of Forum Rules":I must also ask that members refrain from hijacking other members threads with off topic evidence of their own, any member doing so may find they will be locked out of the site indefinitely.
Since the find I posted is not part of the original topic, I did not want to be accused of hijacking Chandre's thread. Moderators in the past have been very Draconian in editing and deleting my posts for perceived violations of Forum Rules. I feel I have to tread very carefully to avoid invoking their ire.

More and different evidence from Chandre's "Interesting debris field" topic.
Here's the thingamajig from both the left and right camera for slightly different perspective (grabbed from the NASA PR site, so not the best quality).
But more interesting is what's just beyond ... apparently there was a thriving theater culture on Mars and a need for Greek masks.
The ones here have a lot more detail, and the actual .img ones may have even more.
The lyle.org ones have a lot of pure black blacked-out areas in them, the others in my link dont appear to. I assumed they would be taken from the PDS but apparently not, due to the lack of fine detail.
goggog you may be better off using the ones in my link, there are about 11 or 12 showing this feature. There are also many other interesting things (as OBrien says in his continuation thread) which can be seen more clearly in the PDS browse images.
Chandre, if you want this thread to discuss this item only, then we can add other things we find to OBrien's thread. If you think that everything in this image should go together under one thread, then maybe we merge the two?
