I really do not understand what are your problem. You have few emage couse you are not a scientist and there's a time for copyright. Wait 2 years and you'll can have all the images you want. I've worked on Steins images too. And I still do not understand what are your problem. There's a prospective deformation between the images. Infact you can create using the images a 3d model of the surface. There are no stars couse their light is nothing respect the one acquired from asteroid. The object is really great but the satellite was able to see only a part of it less then in Steins case. The do not know which tipe of asteroid is it coused the classification of asteroid is an old thing. And is not easy to understand in 5 minutes mass, surface caracteristics and shape of an object we have not seen tottally. If you have other question I've worked on Steins for Rosetta and I m working now on Lutetia with all the images couse I m a member of WAC team.
Enterprise Mission are speculating about the same thing....well wort a read for those that are interested.
They also did a really interesting peice on Steins..
There's one small difference between Mr Hoagland's speculations and my assertions.
While Hoagland has the whole nasa paraphernalia and media outlets behind him, he has not been able to show us a a single deobfuscated image, while I PROVED with my home computer that Mr Iosiv Shcklovsky the russian outstanding astronomer was spot on.
Russian Scientists had NASA by the balls and gave a taster going public on one of their missing probes!

As speculated before, this 'moon' seems to be very odd, and has always been considered a rather mysterious object, as has its smaller twin, Deimos. Recent events seem to have strengthened our beliefs as news recently reached us that both Moons have mysteriously disappeared...
Joseph Shklovskii noted member of the Soviet Academy of science and co-writer with Dr Carl Sagan of 'Intelligent life in the universe', once calculated from the estimated density of the Martian atmosphere and the peculiar "acceleration" of Phobos, that the satellite must be hollow.
Could Phobos be a hollowed-out space station of huge proportions? In July 1988, the Russians launched two unmanned satellite probes - Phobos 1 and Phobos 2 - in the direction of Mars, with the primary intention of investigating the planet's mysterious moon, Phobos.
Phobos 1 was unfortunately lost en route two months later, reportedly because of a radio command error. Phobos 2 was also ultimately lost in the most intriguing circumstances, but not before it had beamed back certain images and information from the planet Mars itself.
Phobos 2 arrived safely at Mars in January 1989 and entered into an orbit around Mars as the first step at its destination towards its ultimate goal: to transfer to an orbit that would make it fly almost in tandem with the Martian moonlet called Phobos (hence the spacecrafts name) and explore the moonlet with highly sophisticated equipment that included two packages of instruments to be placed on the moonlet's surface.
All went well until Phobos 2 aligned itself with Phobos, the Martian moonlet. Then, on 28th March, the Soviet mission control center acknowledged sudden communication "problems" with the spacecraft; and Tass, the official Soviet news agency, reported that "Phobos 2 had failed to communicate with Earth as scheduled after completing an operation yesterday around the Martian moon Phobos. Scientists at mission control have been unable to establish stable radio contact."
The last transmission from Phobos 2 was a photograph of a gigantic cylindrical spaceship - a huge, approx, 20km long, 1.5km diameter cigar-shaped 'mother ship', that was photographed on 25 March 1989 hanging or parked next to the Martian moon Phobos by the Soviet unmanned probe Phobos 2. After that last frame was radio-transmitted back to Earth, the probe mysteriously disappeared; according to the Russians it was destroyed - possibly knocked out with an energy pulse beam.
Today, Phobos and Deimos still hold their secrets. As missions to Mars continue in the 21st century, they are likely to receive increased attention from both science and the general public. And these are only two of the 169 known moons of the solar system – each with its own history and mystery, each awaiting exploration!
Colour Image in previous post is not enhanced.. Its easy to find.. Google Phobos... I think part of its true structure is exposed and flattened through processing.
Below partial structural reveal when im on the hunt..
I have a large folder with 6 months worth of asteroid- comet etc investigation.. Iceman.. the mirror image symatry u seek is there without needing the mirror image. Think in 3 dimensions and you'll find a beauty wondering around Saturn. Dual aspects ( similar to engines.) Nature hates replicationg herself.
The comets are heavily masked out but Ive got back details that show, in some cases damage, structure nreally difficult to exlain.. Work in progress. My files are else where but when I get my hands on them I 'll post one of them in this thread. This is a little disconcerting.. What we are told MAY not be what they ae meant to be. the solar system is littered with them.. especially the most famous.. PHOBOS and his partner in crime DEMIOS.
These are the big bad wolves of renegade moonlettes world... we just gave them a status as a moons of mars, becuase theyre parked near Mars ( for the moment).
Phobos Family Pic,,, Just look at those teeth .. (Joke)
THEWATCHER found additional evidence of hiding so I decided to replicate it here in the same pohrum .... take a look
So asteroids are not asteroids, comets are not comets, moons are not moons, Nothing is what we are told ... we must find out a way to catch up on the knowledge these arrogant people have are hogging , because it's a right for all mankind not something that a group of nerds may enjoy while the rest of us stand in absolute ignorance. -- Frutty.
To check the potential that the meteorite could possible be something made by intelligent beings did I the following: copied the upper half of the figure marked flipped it and then paste them together and turned 90 degrees. I did the same things to the lover half labeled b. This is the result
Thanks Goggog, this limited view of the asteroid in hi res let you see more details.
Apparently they took more than 400 photographs of the asteroid, but we are not able to see more than 4 or six. (Source)
According to the same source they don't know yet what type of asteroid is it, but might contain metals. Anybody heard so far of a report talking about gold being discovered outside planet Earth? -- Maybe Cydonia on Mars ?
In the press conference when the guy is projecting the slideshow, the camera seems to be more interested in focusing on the lecturer than on the images on the asteroid.
See here
But fortunately we have this view of the whole asteroid. Unfortunately details washed out to the limit.
Im my opinion the efforts would make sense, if there were to discover evidences oin the "decoded" image, why ESA is publishing false or incomplete images. Do new things show up, which the new image reveals ? Question: Have you detected anything in the "decoded" image, which allows conclusions to be drawn, why ESA is altering the images ? Any guess? Otherwise we now have two images instead of one, without proof, which one would be more right.
Sorry could you rephrase your question?
I got this great shot from youtube. Lutetia like you will never see it ...

Well, As you pointed this out , I decided to take a closer look at the image. And you are right to some extent. Where I thought they had sheerly cut out what they did was applying a filter that obscured the rest of the object, as you can see in the image below which recovers pixels outside Lunetia silhouette and brightens them up.
The object is immensely bigger than they are showing us, and as you might guess what they are not showing is because it does not have a natural explanation. But if the show must go on, it will be without me participating.
