I am not looking for further apologies. As I said, it is over and I would not bother to refer to it - other than as an example in the topic above. I am pleased to hear that people are now warned before banning which is what I would have expected. I am reassured so I dont think we need to discuss this any further.

qmantoo, your ban was an error as a result of an action taken to protect the Forum from an attack. Many were banned in error at the same time such as Tsad and WingedOne (if I recall).

It was not personal, please accept my apologies. It was our fault as we were not expecting the attack and were vulnerable and had no process in place.

We now resist banning were possible, if a member oversteps the mark warnings are given and reasons in private with the member. An attempt will be made to enter into a dialogue and resolve the situation long before a banning in done.

We learn from our mistakes ! Sorry for any confusion and distress it may have caused you, it was not intended aww

I would like to think that lessons have been learnt from the banning I got a couple of months ago, and I would like to be re-assured that they have.

Of course, it is totally none of my business how you conduct your relationships (and yes, that is what we are building here and in any forum).

When I got banned there was no reason given and this is what I vehemently objected to and it left me with a nasty feeling in my mouth - to be rejected without knowing what I had done.

All that is in the past now and almost forgotten, but I would like to know that IF someone is banned from this forum, they are afforded the politeness of a reason for the banning. Whether someone 'deserves' to be banned or not, it just generates extra bad feeling if they do not get the reason why. Also, one day this bad feeling might come back to bite us/you in the backside.
