This one in the bottom right corner is such a perfect example but it is tiny and I only discovered it when I was zooming in to see other things.

So, these circle-shaped things really do range in size from the tiny to the enormous as shown by the example in the distance further up this thread.

These structures are all over the Moon too, so they MUST either be natural OR are evidence of inhabitation OR artifacts generated by nasa (see below).

The space scientists probably have a theory on it but we probably will never get a scientist on here to talk about it. So we are left to make up our own stuff.

Perhaps I will ask on unmannedspacemission forum but I may get banned for asking an awkward question haha

Some of these are undoubtedly artifacts which is the other possibility

But, they are also on the Earth too in areas of Antarctica

Now all this might mean that the images of the Moon, Mars, Antarctica are all generated by computer (as has been suggested on here before) and these round shapes are a product of the "making it real" process of software compression and other software processes.

What do you all think?

So... you have not seen these donut-shaped things in the Mars photos then.? They are everywhere and represent either a new geological feature undocumented (as far as I am aware) or they represent some structure which is alien in origin. You decide.

Are you saying thay you have not seen these structures around in the pictures? (somehow I dont think you will answer this one, but prove me wrong.)

My hat goes off to you guys and your eagle eyes for that matter.....

I was always the one that had a hard time "seeing" the image in those 3D pattern images that came out a while ago.....you know...the ones you have to stare at...

We should be recognising these donut-things as they appear to me, to be associated with areas which are inhabited. I suppose if they are NOT a normal geological formation on Mars, then they would be associated with inhabited places.

Anyway, There are plenty of small ones in the rover pictures, but here is one I found in the distance and so it must be quite large.

The main HiRise page for this image is here

The link I gave before was to one of the images taken from goggog's post.
I am away for a couple of weeks now, I will post again when I get back.

The Martian Donut.

Thank you very much for  showing us this i observation.

If not processing artefacts etc., these seem to be 3- dimensional structures on the surface ( inner shadows ), sometimes covering whole areas. No graffitis or plain symbols.  Appearing as  single objects they show up in  the shape of donuts.
Many close  together in one place may loose this singular shape by  melting into each other, forming  carpets.
First it  would be important to eliminate the possibilty of processing artefacts.
So we need some opinions about that point, please...
Second, if these "patterns" are real parts of the surface, they are widespread over the surface and concentrated in some areas building carpets.
Three theories: Vegetation, an unknown process of geology or  some sort of "civilisation".
Thanks again for coming to this point.

See... I cannot resist a clean blank space. I just have to write on it! I am obviously a graphitti artist at heart.

======================
It appears to me that most of this investigation work is about looking for patterns or recognising patterns that we have seen before in other pictures.

I keep on seeing things in the photos that I am looking at which look like this...

circledot_glyph.gif

Like a circle with a dot in the middle and these obviously mean something to the Martians. I have also seen a square with a dot in the middle too. I call them circledots and squaredots. I do not think they are products of the compression algorithms used. (I could be mistaken though.)

I was really wondering if anyone had any theories what they could be used for? Communications?

cd_ESP_017244_2050_x809.jpg

They are not just one size but seem to range in size from the micro to the macro. The one here is cut from the goggog's post that I was looking at, so these are obviously massive to be seen at that resolution. The link again here.

There are also other structures which could be the same kind of circledot thing, but I was doubtful so I did not highlight them.
