Sounds official I know, but it is nothing like that.
Based on my program that decodes the filenames, we can have a search for photographs with different/similar attributes. The database will take a while to compile as the page for each sol for each camera has to be read, the file names extracted and analysed and written to a database. So, for even one sol, some cameras have over 100 photographs each which all mounts up to fairly heavy processing. This all takes a while and I do not want to burden the nasa website too much with heavy constant access.
So.....What do we want ideally?
If you post your needs here I will see if the information is available and how I can store it etc
Currently as the program stands at the moment (not public yet) I can search for photos: a) taken at the same site on different dates b) by other cameras at the same site c) by different filters d) range of dates e) anything else?
This all gets done as and when I have time, so dont hold your breath - OK?
