In my just prior post, the pics I mentioned would not post, and I can't get the edit to work to change it, so............................

To me, the "rock" I posted previously looks like a manufactured very heavy stone/marble/etc pot, urn or whater the right word description is. One can see that the "bowl" of it has some depth to it.

It looks like intelligent design to me.

Since no one has commented yet on my "rock" in the previous post, (maybe so as not to hurt my feelings - smile ), I will go ahead and tell you, with pics, what this "rock" look to me.

To me, it looks like an item in this family of these two additional pis (from earth). The limits on making one of these objectsis only relative to the materials available, the technology, and the mind of the maker. My pics, provided for anyone's simple and easy understanding, are different from the pic shown of the "rock", but that doesn't mean it is not in the same family. With the "high back" on the " rock", it was likely used with other pieces and structure of similar construction. It obviously is very strong/solid, or, otherwise it would have been destroyed with whatever happened here.

Yes, I am beginning to stretch it, (means make stuff up), since we only have that pic of the "rock", but, now what do you think?!

Hi gmantoo! Yes, I have seen that too! There is just unatural stuff almost everywhere in these rocks. The jagged edge "rock" you mentioned obviously is something other than "natural". Every time I look at the Rover Opportunity sol days in these "rocks, I find other anomalies.

I will post a screenshot of one I found today (I don't think it has been posted here yet. While a simple item,to me it just shows that reasonably intelligent life is either here, or has been here. This anomaly could be handmade, or machine made. It is "artfully done, and shows the degree of advanced intellect, being demonstrated, relative to more than just "survival mode". I am posting it for each of you to see, and to reflect on what you see with this anomaly.

This anomaly (rock) is from also from Opportunity sol 2171, navigation camera. (Hope the screenshot works right!)

So has anyone noticed the 'rock' further to the left with the jagged edge all around the perimeter?

Yes goggog, I too saw what looks like a horses head, after I made this post. Actually the face of the horse is one of the "rocks" I referred to when I said my object was "white, and between two rocks". If you look right at the end of the "horse's nose, there sits my "white object". To me, it looks like a "vehicle", just sitting there.

There are also other items I have seen already in this photo. If one just looks, there seems to be quite a bit of odd stuff here!! I will post another screenshot, just for example. (Maybe I will find what I am doing wrong with the screeshots soon) .

In this shot is what looks like a white trailer, with white tow vehicle ahead of it???? Whatever, it looks funny, here in all of the "rocks"

It is similar to a head of a horse or a bull

goggog, thanks for the help with the screen shot!!! After I posted it, I noticed it would not enlarge, with just a click, but, too late with no edit - plus, I am still learning!!

So, I will try again. I have found another object in all of these rocks. It is from the same sol day 2171, but is from a different camera shot. The object is sitting between two large rocks, and it is "white". I hesitate to describe it any further, because of the lack of any size perspective. I do know what it looks like????? I will post two screenshots for you, and also the direct link to the Rover photo. There may be some better shots for it, but I found this and wanted to post it for you. I does have an interesting look!

What do all of you think this is, or might be???

There are some very interesting photos posted here, and a lot of interesting objects. As marsrocks said, one can spend a lot of time looking at the sol photos that relate to this, and probably find a lot more stuff.

I have gone to one of the posted photo links, and see three interesting objects no one else has mentioned yet - and they are not rocks! I don't know what they are, but they don't look like rocks. Each object is different. One has a base, with a long tube-type neck, with a white object on the end of it. A second object has a "neck", but I can't see anything on the end of it. The third object, while probably a rock, looks like a free-standing computer station????

I have taken a screen shot to post here, that shows the three items. And I will "re-post" the link to the Opportunity photo, for anyone interested to go to.

marsrocks, your 2nd pic has an odd rock,

right in the center of the pic.

looks like a leg, from shoulder to ankle.

statue?

if this was some place that was blown up, i would not want to be anywhere near that weapon.

This is a fascinating time for Opportunity.  I will be researching more of this sol.  Thanks for the heads up.

Really good finds!

Object #2 is extremely interesting, particularly with what appears to be that square pipe coming out of the top.  This is a really recently taken image.  Too bad we still don't have the right frame views available of your objects (there are two different views of object #1 taken from different angles though).  I will look at this again when the rest of the images of this are available from nasa.

Very neat.

These objects located near very small crater.

Small crater implies destruction by some reason.

A lot of debris from destruction can be found around very small crater.

I think abnormal objects can't be natural rocks.

Regarding those objects as natural things, it would be unnatural thinking.
