Seems we may not be far off the mark.....

Found this interesting article today at the Rense site.

Boeing tries to defy gravity

An anti-gravity device would revolutionize air travel.  Researchers at the world's largest aircraft maker, Boeing, are using the work of a controversial Russian scientist to try to create a device that will defy gravity. The company is examining an experiment by Yevgeny Podkletnov, who claims to have developed a device which can shield objects from the Earth's pull.

1.Solenoids create magnetic field
2. Spinning, super-conducting ceramic ring
3. Liquid Nitrogen acts as coolant
4. Dr Podkletnov claims weight can be reduced by 2% (1kg=980g)

The project is being run by the top-secret Boeing Phantom Works in Seattle. The head of the Phantom Works, George Muellner, told Jane's Defence Weekly that the science appeared to be valid and plausible.   Dr. Podkletnov claims to have countered the effects of gravity in an experiment at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland in 1992. The scientist says he found that objects above a superconducting ceramic disc rotating over powerful electromagnets lost weight. The reduction in gravity was small, about 2%, but the implications - for example, in terms of cutting the energy needed for a plane to fly - were immense. Scientists who investigated Dr. Podkletnov's work, said his experiment was fundamentally flawed and that negating gravity was impossible.   Boeing is taking Dr. Podkletnov's research seriously and the hypothesis is being tested in a program code named Project Grasp. The military wing of the UK hi-tech group BAE Systems is also working on an anti-gravity program, dubbed Project Greenglow. To all our members....

We have been criticised for being insular and not working together. I thought maybe we can address that by showing that it is possible for members to combine their talents and set a precedent for a new way for the forum to work where people interact on projects and post together.

This post is just for fun, as an example of what we are able to do when we combine our talents.

I approached One Single Drop to help me because he has a unique talent of being able to transcribe a concept into an image. I explained my ideas and he kindly agreed to work together.

My idea started with Skippers post about the strange ‘airfields’ and craft in the USA. As part of my other life I have worked as a travel agent and this started me dreaming about what it would be like if we could use this type of travel rather than airplanes. I personally hate flying as the current method is dehumanising and traumatic. The Guest Book and the Forum also, coincidentally, started chatting about new energy sources and I realised that these dreams may soon be possible if we had the right type of engine. I do not have a technological background so these ideas are just that, ideas. The point is that these craft already appear to exist, this is just my interpretation of how we would use them to our benefit.

Below was the brief I gave OSD, he kindly supplied the images I am including in the text. This is a note from OSD in bold.

I support what you all are doing. The drawings are actually sketches, just what came in my mind and what I was be able to draw. The handwritings underline this spontaneity. Just took the paper in front of the desk and started. The result is a bit too crude, yes I know.  I wish I could draw as marvellous as Chandres dreams are... Watching these wonderful objects of the others, surfing through space, changing shape and moving in such an elegant way shows to us that travelling in such a way is possible. And if it is possible, it can be done. It can be done. There are many ways to do it and people from Earth have done it already in secrecy, building these "ships" behind the curtain. This secrecy will not last forever. We really should stop watching television and start to watch the sky. There is something happening in the heavens and on earth. Mankind is experiencing another state of awareness in an ongoing process. Mankind is changing its point of view. Things which have been always around us, but never had been recognized are becoming clearly visible. An ongoing process. And we are participating. Es gibt keine Zufälle.

The craft is circular, about the size of a domed football field.

Travellers enter through a circular doorway in the side and make their way to a round reception desk in the middle of the craft.

The floor is flat and metallic looking but softer and warmer. The ceiling reminds me of what
you posted today.

The reception area serves as a refreshment area once the craft is in motion with areas of bar-like seating stools, and tables and chairs. Travellers can help themselves to refreshments from machines there and pre-prepared meals are served from the counters. NO cooking is done, microwaves heat the food.

There is a circular storage wall around the central area where travellers can store their luggage on the reception side and that has bathrooms in it on the seating side. Behind this circular storage wall the craft is divided into separate areas.

Some areas are designated for reading and have comfortable chairs in them, others have cinema style seating areas with big screens that seem to be part of the walls showing movies, TV, and views of Earth below, other areas have recliner chairs where people are able to sleep. Travellers are free to move around and sit wherever they want to.  The lighting is dimmed overall but areas like the reading chairs and the central desk have specialised lighting. Sleeping areas have large aquariums in them with muted light coming from them. There seems to be something that dampens sound so that it is very quiet. I know that there are fields that can do that in existence today so this is possible. A staircase leads down from next to the doorway. There are staterooms, luggage storage and a beauty salon that offers treatments, hairdressing, saunas and hydro baths in that area that travellers are able to use.

There are no windows, the only opening is the doorway.

The machine is for travel on Earth, it lifts straight up and then waits in orbit until access to the destination is possible and comes down. Travel seems to take about twelve hours or so, not sure of the exact time frame or the mechanics of how fast Earth orbits and how this would work,
the technicalities escape me. I believe that take off would be straight up but with no sensations for the occupants other than the wobbly feeling you get in a fast lift. I believe the craft stays in a stationary orbit, I think the timing of the departure and the angle that the craft ascends at are key in putting it in the right position for its re-entry to its destination. It comes straight down maybe at a slight angle and not terribly quickly. I think that has something to do with the re-entry into the atmosphere. The large screens show the Earth turning below so I believe the craft is basically stationery while in its transit time.

Wouldn’t you just love to travel like this ?
