Thanks Macten, I haven't been on here in a while.  The crop you did bring out some fascinating detail.

A truly amazing find Levelwind. I had not seen this before and could not help but to try to extract every detail possible from your post.

Thanks for your skill and patience.

The devil is in the details, and there are lots of detail in this.

Any large object will have been modified at the source so as to hide any obvious purpose or origin.

All we really have left are the small bits that are too numerous to effectively mask.

The top right of this crop is what first caught my eye but there is so much around it I had to include it too.

Curiosity is going through some pretty freaky stuff right now.  I seems like most all of the photos have strange artifacts.

Another artificial looking piece (center) and in the bottom left of this crop

is a pipe with something poking out of it.

I had a lot of fun looking at this one.  There are anomalies everywhere.

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop1.jpg

What ever this thing is it's leaking some white fluid.

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop2.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop3.jpg

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop4.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop5.jpg

These remind me of some broken casings.

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop6.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop7.jpg

This could be part of a ball joint assembly.

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop8.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop9.jpg

All kinds of stuff here.  Right center is what caught my eye first.  The case is broke open revealing a rod or piston of some sort.

0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop10.jpg0941MH0003250050303559E01_DXXXcrop11.jpg

This has got to fit in somewhere with all of these pieces.  Fascinating photo.

Levelwind. Just thought I would add this colour-difference view for reference and note the colour of the sky.

The stripes running down the image just right of centre can be seen in the original download.

There is some interesting objects showing but unfortunately we are not close enough to view the detail.

I have cropped the top of the image to suit the page.

Here is a close up view of the lower left section of the above image.

Looks like someone has been very busy over a period of time.

I have lightened the image slightly so that the object detail can be seen more clearly.

Zoom in to see the small objects on the surface. You may be surprised at what can be seen.

Further back in the thread, Levelwind posted an image captured by the MER Opportunity during sol 3921.

Here is the full view. I have reduced the brightness down a fair degree and applied the unsharp filter.

The amount of object detail showing in the view is quite unbelievable.

This is a left L2 filter image so I suspect there is also a view from the right camera eye.

If there is, I shall make an anaglyph of the view just to see what detail shows up.

The original image is 1024 x 1024 but the forum software has resized the image to 768 x 768 which is a shame as the detail is much harder to spot.

1P476268288_3921_proc.jpg

EDIT: If you are using a browser with a zoom facility try enlarging the image to 150 or 175%

I've been trying to find another view or angle on this thing with no luck.

It's only a few feet from where the rover has been drilling.

Tonight I came close though.  Check how they cover this anomaly here.

Look at the drill holes above circled in green for comparison.

Pretty clever NASA!no

Levelwind, Here is a view of a rock as per your image a couple of posts above.

I have placed a rectangle around some on the anomalous objects that would not normally be seen as the original image is orientated upside down.

Are there some pipes showing in the largest rectangle?

Nice find there. I found these on the same image. Some nice piping through part of what NASA would call 'rock'. But to me looks more like part of a hull or structure.

What is important is that we all know we are not alone. These discoveries give me peace of mind. You all do excellent work.

If you have ever seen aircraft wreckage you would know that it is mostly twisted and unrecognisable. I think that anything entering from above the atmosphere would be completely obliterated into much smaller pieces than this. This looks like machinery but of what type or what it was used for ??? It could even be parts of a dwelling.

I just looks too uniform and symettrical to be random natural formations.

Yes, part of the space junk from the wars - blown apart above the surface Star Wars-style and strewn around on the ground.
