The Planetary Data System (PDS) is pleased to announce Release 26 of Mars Exploration Rover data. This release includes primarily data from Sols 2161 through 2250 for both rovers.
Mission on a Fobos The Russian experts prepare for start the pilotless device a Fobos-ground. Expedition to the companion of Mars should become flight rehearsal on a Red planet.
Mission is planned 2011 in November with the subsequent return for the Earth with the sample of a ground
JAXA decided to emit jets from the orbital maneuvering engine (OME) of the AKATSUKI at 8:49:00 a.m. on Dec. 7 (Japan Standard Time, all the following dates and time are in JST) to inject the orbiter into the Venus orbit. Under the current schedule, the OME jet emission will be completed at 9:01:00 a.m. on the same day, and the Venus orbit will be determined around 9:00 p.m. also on the same day after some attitude control maneuvers including the Earth pointing maneuver of the Z axis. The AKATSUKI will study the Venus atmosphere for about two years after being injected into the Venus orbit.
Moon The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is a robotic spacecraft designed to acquire data to prepare for and support future human exploration of the Moon. LRO will spend at least one year in low (~50 km altitude), polar orbit to collect detailed information about the lunar environment. This planned ‘exploration’ mapping program will identify safe landing sites, characterize lighting and possible water/ice deposits at the poles, locate potential resources on the moon, characterize the radiation environment, and demonstrate new technology. LAMP—The Lyman-Alpha Mapping Project will peer into permanently shadowed craters in search of water ice, seeing by the ultraviolet light from stars and the interplanetary medium.
LROC—The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera was designed to acquire data for landing site certification and to conduct polar illumination studies and global mapping. Operated by Arizona State University, LROC consists of a pair of narrow-angle cameras (NAC) and a single wide-angle camera (WAC). The mission is expected to return over 70 terabytes of image data.

Goggog this is plain disinfo. That's not the so called face on Mars accident. That's another of the hundreds of face shaped monuments that Cydonia abounds with.
Goggog, I read about this morning and what they did was map to 3D their tampered images. So we would travel to a site full of whitewash and flipped images. I don;t think it's worth the treat
The Planetary Society is hosting an interactive Ustream chat where you can put in your 2 cents."Tell us where you want to go in space!" said Bill Nye (the Science Guy) who will soon become the Planetary Society's new executive director. Nye and Louis Friedman, the Society's current executive director, will host the live chat – titled "The New NASA Plan – Destinations" – on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm U.S. Pacific Time (5:00 pm EDT, 21:00 GMT). "We want a lively debate!" said Friedman, who urges anyone to join the discussion.
