ok, i guess i was thinking the same thing

but wondered what you thought of that.

i think it's possible to retrace 113 sols to what looks like

the exact same spot to take another pic.

why would they do that?

nothing against your post bro, just seems strange nasa would waste that kind of time.

I was more focused on the "dust" not moving or being blown away in 113 sols.

so why the 113 sol difference?

that's a long time in one place.

are you implying the sol #'s are wrong or have been intentionally manipulated?

great find dude and welcome!

just want to know what the sol difference means.

it wasnt in one place..you can start here http://areo.info/mer/spirit/1907/tn/2P295667757EDNB1DNP2281L5M1_L4L5L5L5L6.jpg.html

and move forward in time and you will see spirit rolls around until sol 2020 where it takes the same pic again confuse

I am not implying anything, just asking questions and noticing that the dust or sand isnt blowing away with the wind in 113 sols.

thank you and thank you smile

Dark impenetrable shadow, pebble cover and our favourite mini-dunes. All NASaTY tamepering favourites. If you look past it at the area its covering you could almost imagine the body and neck of a horse....LOL...

For want of a better scientific term... Stunning.

The Glyphs are clear, unambiguous. This is what I personally think the public needs to see. Theres no dought that these formation arent due to weathering.. They are made made by a higher intelligence.

There is a major block of tampering on right (black) but therest is almost untouched

Well Done!!!

good eye Chandre, the rock does have a hole through it like the horse's mouth on your pic.I looked for pictures of Mayan or Chinese carved stones or statues but kept going back to the Chichen Itza stones.

I am looking at that head and seeing something else.

100px-CMOC_Treasures_of_Ancient_China_exhibit_-_painted_figure_of_a_cavalryman,_horse_detail.jpg

A Han Dynasty Carved horse. I know I have seen something with similar shape and texture in China but I just don't have the time to research that at present so maybe it is something you may want to investigate ...

Welcome tsad smile

What a well-presented and thought out post, its a pleasure to have you with us !

Martian sand....dunes...dust devils... and sand/soil/pebbles that are out of place/don't move/move etc. Questions we are all asking.

That is a beautiful and very decorative rock biggrin

Hello everyone,my forum name is tsad.I am new here and really enjoy this subject. Please allow me to share my find. (sorry for repost, first one was posted in wrong section)

found this neat rock on sol 2020

http://areo.info/mer/spirit/2020/tn/2P305692603EFFB1E5P2574L5M1_L2L5L5L7L7.jpg.html

reminded me of ...

2upbhvl.jpg

so I looked for more of the same rock and found other pics of it taken on other sols.
here is one taken on sol 1907
2f0f7rs.jpg

http://areo.info/mer/spirit/1907/tn/2P295667757EDNB1DNP2281L5M1_L4L5L5L5L6.jpg.html

I saved them and opened them in photoshop and overlayed the two images. One taken on sol 1907 and the other take on sol 2020.I noticed that what appears to be dust or sand has not moved at all. 113 sols apart. What kind of sand or dust stays in place for so long?
